Maroma, a privately owned beach, is located in the Mexican State of Quintana Roo along the southeastern coast of the Caribbean Sea. There are no hotels on the actual beach since the land between the highway and the beach used to be mainly jungle—the only access was from the sea. Exploring Quintana Roo

Take a 45-minute ferry across the sea to Cozumel Island and visit Chankanaab National Park to see different varieties of tropical fish. In the main neighborhood of San Miguel, you can find live music and black bean soup with fish tacos to fill your stomach. Burn off any vacation calories by heading north to Cancun, where you can dance the night away in a swanky resort nightclub or a beach cabana.

"“5-Star Fraud” – Ocean Riviera Paradise ⭐ 1/5 – 5-STAR FRAUD This hotel is a complete scam. It’s advertised as a 5-star resort, but the reality is far from it. Severely understaffed, slow and disorganized service, and poor customer attention. The food is very low quality, with limited options and endless lines for everything, even the buffet. Several times we couldn’t even get into the restaurants. The beach is full of rocks and seaweed, not what you expect in Cancun. You pay for luxury and get chaos instead. Do not recommend at all. "The room was very clean, the staff provided excellent service. The beach had a lot of sargassum but they did their best to clean it up. However I was disappointed in the view from my room. I paid for a junior suite ocean view king. But I DID NOT have ocean view. "
