Amazing vacation

Everything from being welcomed, checking in, the trip to our room, everyday greetings, to the food. I cant give this hotel any more praise i cant wait to come back, it was honestly one of the best vacations i have had. I was blown away by the staff, and the property. The only thing it needs is a night cljb for the guests that would have made it PERFECT.

Overall nice hotel, i didn't like the fact that they stop the music and shut down the bars @10:30 this an 18 and over resort music and bars should at least be open til midnight. Second the restaurant choices are not as open meaning not all the restaurants are not open every day. Durning my 4 nights I did not get to try two of their restaurants they were closed. They should have more music playing and stay open later. The beach wasn't as clean, we didn't get to enjoy the beach at all. I would not choose this hotel again due to the lack of entertainment in the resort itself.

The restaurants weren't all open every day/night. No buffet at night ever. There were cabanas lining the pool, but you had to cough up over $110/day to use them. Two thirds of them were empty and in our opinion they have way too many cabanas around the pool and on the beach. Staff were really friendly. Been to 7-8 all inclusive properties from Cancun to Playa del Carmen in the past 20 years...food didn't meet our expectations compared to Moon Palace and Iberostar properties. Rooms were very nice, as was the spa. Had to leave a day early because my wife got a stomach bug. Hyatt would not give us any type of refund. Expedia made several phone calls and emails on our behalf but the answer was still 'no'. Location was not the best. You stepped off the property and it got a little sketchy. I was offered 'blow' at least a half dozen times in an hour of shopping. Just didn't feel as safe as it used to be compared to past trips in Playa del Carmen.

This resort was excellent! The amenities were accessible and very accommodating, even for someone like me, who was 7 months pregnant. The food was about 4/5. Dolma was the BEST restaurant on the resort. Pelicanos was great as well. Asiana was doable, but not as great as expected. The buffet is the buffet, but not bad at all. The resort is a few short steps from 5th Ave, so there are opportunities to enjoy nightlife and some shopping during the day. The pool was IMMACULATE. Not too crowded, extremely clean, and the service was excellent. Room service was also great and timely. If you are younger or looking for a more club/turn-up vibe, this is not the place for you. Entertainment is light and fun. This is more for the relaxed individual looking to escape the everyday hustle and just reset and recenter. The beach did have a lot of seaweed, but that's nature, not the resort's fault. They worked around the clock to make the seaweed go away, but there was just too much. The spa was not bad either, just a little pricey for my taste. Overall excellent experience and would definitely rebook!

This resort was beyond beautiful. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The food was ok. The buffet had the best options. What they dont mention is the raccoons and cats at the resort. The raccoons were out all times of day, we wer barely able to use our swim out ocean front room due to them showing up. Beware of the men in the lobby by the gift shop they offer you coupons and a free resort credit to attend a "presentation" for 90 mins they say its not for a time share but to inform you of the transition from hilton to viva. After 3 hours of wasted vacation time they ask for 140 k to "invest" to get vacation perks and points. During my stay the algae on the beach was terrible they were working hard to clean it up but it just kept washing up. Overall this was a beautiful resort, fun activities like the foam party and nightly activities by the lobby with music and shows.

The property was very nice and clean. The pools were wonderful. The staff was excellent very friendly always spoke had a smile on their face very helpful however, it really lacked entertainment. There was only the buffet for breakfast and one other restaurant for breakfast. I love to drink my wine they only had two types of white wine not even Pinot Grigio. It was two bottom shelves. You could not get a drink after 11 PM needed more of a variety on the menu, but the food was pretty good room service food was excellent and the service was great. fifth Avenue was very close had a lot of entertainment, but the hotel was not designed for entertainment past 11 PM. No club. And I will mention again no alcoholic beverages after 11 PM. Overall resort was very nice.

Our room was close to a large generator or a/c unit but it didn’t affect our sleep. The ceiling fan above the bed wasn’t working so they made every effort to correct the problem. It took a couple of visits until it was finally fixed. We were gifted with a nice bottle of champagne and some macarons for the inconvenience. The staff was nice, super friendly and very attentive. Lucas and Javier at Spice were excellent at making us feel comfortable. Ahmed and Geronimo at Asiano and Pedro and Eric at the Chef’s Plate were great as well. We recommend the Chef’s Plate for a great dining experience. The spa was wonderful. I had a facial and body scrub with Damile who was excellent and gentle with my sunburn. 😊
