We had a wonderful stay at the Valentin. The staff is very attentive and the service was superb! The grounds are beautifully maintained. We loved the pool area. Most of the days we went to the main pool. One day was spent at the more quiet Golden Pool. Another day we went to the beach, which was beautiful. The water was clear and we easily got a front row palapa. Mornings are very easy going with your choice of activities and the afternoon entertainment was a lot of fun. The service during the day, at all locations, is excellent. The servers are attentive, always ready to get you a drink, water, or something to eat. You can spend your time in a quiet location or join in the activities. The restaurants provided a lot of variety and met our expectations. We loved that there were things to do after dinner. We went to Don Miguel's for after dinner drinks and hung out in the open-air square and listened to the band most nights. We pretty much stayed to ourselves and had an awesome time. We would definitely go back!

I would give it a 5 star if it wasn’t for the smell of the room. Don’t know if it was cause of the humidity. Other than that everything was great from. All the employees are great and the food too.

- all wine & drinks served in cups throughout except inside the restaurant . Not even a plastic wine glass like in the other hotels in Mexico. Serving wine in a plastic cup is an insult - Absolutely horrible Wines (red, white & sparkling) and only 5 total to choose from , if you want to buy the bottle in the restaurants they are extremely expensive. And hard liquor the cheapest bad quality - Rooms are Very humid and A/C does not cool - French restaurant is a FRENCH want to be . As well as the Italian . The only original was the Mexican - No hair conditioner. You have to request it daily - masks are required in every restaurant - The overall surroundings are very nice. A lot of plants but a lot of mosquitoes - Overall not planning to go back I recommend Excellence Riviera in Cancun . It’s the total opposite of Valentin Imperial.

The resort was breathtaking ! The restaurants were wonderful !! All of the options on top of the Churro cart, the coffee shop. The staff is absolutely incredible !!!! I can't say enough about this resort. I absolutely will be returning !!!

The grounds are lovely and the staff is very welcoming and eager to please. The rooms are in need of refurbishment and the process has already begun. Food quality is mostly pretty good but has a few misses here and there.
