The check in process was really what made the stay challenging. I booked through Expedia and although they showed that the swim up suite was available with a double bed or a king size bed, there was not a way to choose which you would like. I booked the trip for myself and adult son so obviously I did not want a king size bed. When I got to the hotel to check in, the front desk clerk told me not only did they not have a swim up room with a double bed available but that the room they had with a double bed would be on the second floor, the room wouldn't be ready until 4pm (check in was 3pm) and that I would still have to pay the same amount. Based on my frustration she went to her boss and they "found" me the room I originally chose. We had to wait until 3pm to be checked in and were then told to wait by the bar downstairs for the bell hop to come with our luggage. After 45 minutes, I went back upstairs (the elevators did not work) and the staff said, they are down there waiting for you and calling your name (They were not) I went back down and 10 minutes later someone finally came. This experience made the experience a challenge from the beginning especially when it was my sons first time at an all inclusive resort.

In general, the place was pretty nice except couple details like refilling the mini bar at the room also beach towels the racks get empty in the middle of the day and was impossible to find a dry beach towel also steakhouse their meat cuts are to thin impossible to eat a good steak, other than that service was excellent

Everything was great. The local wildlife was cute between the terns?, coatis, and geckos. Only gripe were the mosquitoes so remember to bring repellent and itch relief!

The staff was friendly. But we had another party that booked to meet us there. They booked the wrong excellence. I know that is on us,but the excellence would not do anything to help us resolve the issue. They wanted to charge us another $6,000 for them to get a room in our hotel and then told us there were not any cheaper rooms. We then went on expedia and found one for $2,000.we weren't asking for anything free. We just wanted one of to get transferred. They no intention of helping us resolve the matter. They just wanted more money. We wont be going back
