The staff were all so kind. They cleaned your room 1-2 times a day which was amazing. The resort was beautiful - besides the ocean. Lots of seaweed and the water was brown. Food was good (try the Italian place! They give you fresh bread!) but if you have an Allergy.... Nothing is labeled at the buffet and they don't speak very good English. They give you an allergy card, but I was still assured something was fine for me (I double and triple checked) and after eating it was told it was not fine for me. Almost died that night. Got very sick.

Great customer service. Beautiful ocean view but sad there was still so much seaweed. Clean room but bathroom looks a little outdated. The sink would almost overflow after just washing my hands. The room always would feel weirdly damp. Food options are decent, but one buffet's hours are not consistent for dinner. Reserving a spot for a restaurant is sometimes a hassle. Overall this resort is decent for those who want a quiet relaxing vacation, but it is only worth a one time stay.

We have stayed at this resort multiple time because the staff is so wonderful! Our butler Carlos always goes out of his way to make our stay amazing. The staff in the privilege restaurant make every meal a great one. Breakfast, lunch and dinner served with a smile and very accommodating! We love all the guys Angel, Javier, Kevin and the rest! Alfredo from the spa gives the best chair massage poolside! Ricardo at the elbeso pool is a so hard working and goes out of his way to keep everyone happy, and the pool concierge Claudia and Jose take great care of the guests! Overall the food is great, and it's very relaxed ! The staff and relaxed atmosphere are 100% what makes it our favorite hotel in Cancun! Thank you to Carlos,

Nice pool atmosphere, not super crowded and loved the swim up bar. Rooms were really clean and the mini fridge was always stocked with bottled water and pop. Restaurants had great food and the buffet was always delicious.

Most everything was enjoyable. The aweful condition of the Gulf is nothing the resort had control over. I didn't appreciate having to pay an additional stipend ($68 per day) to cover "sewage". It was very awkward, not to mention predatory (hidden fees upon arrival).....because if I had declined, we would have been homeless in Cancun for a week, despite my already completed monitary contribution to the resort. This should really be disclosed CONSPICUOUSLY before getting my payment information for the reservation. The only other issue was not being able to eat at all the restaurants because I had to wait til 9am to make a reservation, which I didn't have a problem with, but there was a certain class that had advanced access. So when 9am came, I would attempt to make a reservation but instead I got a screen letting me know that there were no more reservations available.

Overall a 4/5 vacation and we would come back!! Pros: The staff are extremely friendly and were quick to help us with all of our inquiries. The rooms were comfortable and the food was delicious. The pools are very clean and nice and the location is super convenient, only 30 mins from airport and 2 hours from the world wonder! Cons: The only con we had was the room service. They would clean our dirty coffee cups but not give us more coffee, or we would ask for water and it would take 2-3 hours to arrive. This was shocking since the staff were so friendly and helpful, we were just a bit disappointed with the room service. But overall if you let them know what you want before going down to the pool, it’s generally there when you return to your room! The other reviews about the seaweed smell are correct but it really wasn’t bad, and the staff do everything in their power to get rid of it. Don’t book if you want to be in the beach during seaweed season, though (June-Oct). Also general reminder, don’t drink the tap water. But all of the water at the restaurants and bottled is safe.

I did not like the raccoons I was terrified other than that I would return but they were everywhere I stayed in my room for 2 days because I was so scared

Great resort, really didn’t have many complaints. The only thing was it was impossible to get a dinner reservation if you weren’t a signature guest & weren’t up right at 9 to book something (9:15am was too late). Other than that the resort was good!

Only problem was unfriendly lady in ice cream shop. Very rude to my three granddaughters, ages 9-11-14. Spa pedicure was a complete waste of money. Most uncomfortable pedicure I have ever had. Everything else was great. People were super nice. Fun pool activities. Food was very good.
