This was a good place to stay. The staff are all very nice. The lack of hot tubs was a downside. Also, you need to be up before sunrise to claim a chair on the beach or close to the pool. We loved the variety of wildlife around the resort (raccoons, agoutis, coatis, cats, birds). The only real negative we had was a very disappointing couples massage at the spa

The resort was well-maintained and clean. The employees at the resort are top-notch and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The only issue we ran into was the representative from Coco Bongo who wouldn't accept "no thank you" as an answer to the young adults in our group going off the resort to his club. He quickly became very angry and insulting. However, after the altercation he did stay away from us and I did the same. Lastly, I want to thank the resort and the staff for a great New Year's Eve party it was a perfect way to bring in 2026.

Our rooms and resort were well-maintained and clean. All of the workers at the resort were very courteous and accommodating. The only issue we ran into was the representative from Coco Bongo, who was extremely pushy, and when we responded with a simple " no thank you " he overreacted and started insulting us. I understand it is his job to promote the nightclub but we weren't interested in leaving the resort. After the altercation ( that shouldn't have happened), I stayed away from him, and he did the same. Other than that, we rang in the New Year at the resort, and we all had an amazing time. Thank you, Ocean Coral and Turquesa, for making our holiday one to remember!!!!

There are a lot of good things to say about this resort. The property is a comfortable distance from the airport. The beach is amazing. The resort is laid-out in a manner that makes everything easy to find and everything is well-maintained and kept clean. Our housekeeper was awesome and made sure that our room was in good condition each day. However, there are some drawbacks to this resort, too. The biggest issue is the constant effort to upsell. Upon arrival, the check-in employee proceeded to cross-off various locations on the resort map where we could not go because we had not purchased their "Privilege" package. He also detailed various amenities that only "Privilege" guests could access. We could have upgraded, but it would have cost over $1,000 for our family of four for four nights. The biggest drawback was that - without this package - it was next to impossible to get reservations at the popular restaurants or during popular times. There were other upsell efforts that occurred during the trip, but the "Privilege" package was the biggest one. To summarize, this is a good enough resort, but be prepared to pay extra if you want everything that you would expect from an all-inclusive.

The pool was clean but not alot of activities were done. It was hard to book an a la carte as the resort was mainly focused on you purchasing a time share to upgrade your stay and enjoy the additional amenties which included the restaurants. The first room we were checked into stunk really bad. I had also paid extra for a room with a balcony and ocean view, but that was a joke. We had a 4 foot tall concrete wall to look at. We complained about the smell and they did send maintenance up with drain cleaner and aroma spray. After I complained anout the balcony, they move us to a different room with a better balcony. But then we had to give up a kind bed for 2 queens. The smell in the new room was a little better, but it seemed to coming from the shower and sink faucets so I'm guessing that was an entire resort issue. The food was okay. We mainly ate at the buffet because the restaurants that required a reservation would get booked up early in the morning. You have to make reservations through their app, but you can only make reservations for the day of starting at 10 am. According to other guests we spoke to, if you pay EXTRA for the El Baso package, you get to book dinner reservations earlier so most of the time, the regular guests can't even book anything because the privileged guests booked it all. The lack of Mexican food was disappointing. I wanted more tacos! Getting a drink in the buffet took longer than it should have. Servers would repeatedly walk by and never offer a refill. I would have to flag someone down to get a drink, which made me feel rude. On a positive note, all the pools were beautiful and very well taken care of and the drinks were great! But they need food options at the pool.

Rooms were kept clean and stocked. The resort was beautiful and we felt very comfortable. One big disappointment was that they were advertising all over about them catering to allergy needs, however we found it very counterproductive. My girlfriend would have to tell 3-4 different people her allergies, and even after that we found it very difficult to find food that she could have. I will say, some of the staff were very helpful in finding some options, but those options were very limited. Just seems like they are portraying themselves as being very “on it” regarding food allergies, but when it comes down to it, it was very difficult. Overall, we loved our time here and would happily come back.

Dinner reservations were hard to secure. We had two rooms under our reservation and most nights we were not able to be together. One night in particular while we were able to get a similar time, they would not seat us together, even though there were several tables open that they could’ve accommodated us. Additionally, the raccoons that were near the pool area by the ice cream shop were seen begging for food and climbing on tables.

Room was lovely updated and clean, quiet in the adult section. The pool and beach lounges filled early, sometimes before 830am. Good food variety in buffet but not restocked often enough, and signage haphazard. Desserts labeled "beef", it would be a nightmare for anyone with allergies. Not enough staff to brinng drinks, no staff at carving stations, sometimes I just carved my own. Red flag flying on beach every day but the last day, no lifeguardson beach, even though the sea seemed pretty calm on some days. Overall the room and staff made up for the other issues

Great property, we were upgraded to privilege and enjoyed few additional amenities, however, privilege is not far off from standard as we didn’t find it extraordinary. Buffets were great but needs some improvements in terms of quality of food. Restaurants were busy and hard to find a spot probably due to Christmas timing. Shows were average. Seems like there is a mandatory tip culture compared to other resorts as each staff who provided us service has high expectations for the tips some even demanded which was unexpected as the resort is itself pricy and tips should be optional. We took playa shopping tour as well which costed us sometime as it stopped on stores which seems tourists trap. Overall our stay was great and we will certainly recommend.
