The food was far from a 5 star rating hotel. The Restaurant Smoke was terrible food quality and flavor! Also they didn't seem to have enough staff, the waiting for drinks at the bar was too long. You pretty much had to keep paying people to get drinks and that is not right after how much we paid for staying there. They dont include the amenities like trampoline park amd bowling. Again, for the price, hotel should includr this, is an amenity.

The resort was very clean and all the staff was very nice and helpful. I will say that I had a butler and he was very helpful the 1st 2 days then I couldn't get responses from him after that. I also bought ChapStick from the gift shop and they charged me $35.00. They were supposed to refund and charge the correct price $10.00, but I have not gotten the refund and am not able to get ahold of the resort. Also sent messages with no response, so I have paid $45.00 for chapsitck.

This resort is just as gorgeous as the photos. In fact, I think I got better photos than what is on their site. Breathtaking. The rooms are clean and spacious, there are some very minor details that are still to be remedied (there was extra grout splashes in the shower from when they tiled the floor (I thought it was dirt but it wouldn't budge) and the trim around the door was lifting away from the wall slightly. These are very minor, cosmetic details that I noticed in my week here. That is the worst thing I can say about the entire resort. The staff are all wonderful and friendly. They have patience (travelled with friends with children and they were all treated like royalty). The food is wonderful, the restaurants are all unique and inviting, and as a vegetarian I could eat anywhere and have options. The bartenders were fun. If they had the same atmosphere in a bar by my house, I would be there every weekend. The pools are clean and there are so many places to swim, sit in the water, sit with just your toes in the water, or avoid the water completely. Lots of umbrellas and space. We did not feel like it was overcrowded. There were 17 in our group and we found spots by the pool, by the kids pool, and by the bars with no issue. There is entertainment each night and activities each day. From the resort you can book excursions, we went snorkelling which was awesome. Just a short bus ride away and super fun. Would return in a heartbeat!

The royalton its self was beautiful. The food is not good at all. Like a 2 out of 10. If you are booking for your kids this is the spot. Kf you arw a couple booking for just you two go soemwhere nicer. The best thing was the pools. Alot of workers do not know english so instead of say no english they just look at you and not answer. We had a great time but the food could have been way better

Only thing was at the mexican restaurant agave, my wife got the mole chicken enchiladas and something tasted very off with the sauce. Like it had gone bad a month ago or something so we didnt eat that. Other than that the other restaurants were great and the drinks were delicious.

Since we booked this property through Expedia, we had to go to a different area for check out, which was across the resort. Also, when there was an issue in the room, it was difficult to get someone from Guest Services to help us. It was only when we went through the Guest Services Expedia that we were able to be assisted. Ariana from Guest Services Expedia was amazing. She was responsive and helped us with our restaurant bookings. She was professional, friendly and very helpful.

There was ONLY one thing I had an issue with, there was no free bottle of alcohol in the room. Usually when you have a swim up or you have like more VIP diamond they give you like an incentive and they didn’t give us a bottle for the room but other than that, the service was outstanding.

We paid extra for diamond club. The first day we got there we were offered a free activity if we attended the “morning breakfast” we were told that it was only 90 minutes long. When arriving to the we were denied entry because we had an activity planned for the same day later on in the day. They threatened us a cancellation fee for not attending 4 hrs they said the morning breakfast is long & they need ppl to stay the whole day before you can get an activity. The activity was lied to us about. They get commission to get you signed up. They were upset that we had something to do later on that day after we told them before signing we didn’t have four hours to waste with them. The diamond club food is the only decent food they offer the same buffet food is served daily, it’s cold not tasty. Zen restaurant is horrible. Our butler scheduled me a bday dinner for 9pm upon arriving we were told there was an 1 hour wait we brought our baby with us that was getting impatient they then sat us at a regular table instead of the reserved hibachi. Our butler apologized to us the next day & reserved hibachi at the same restaurant the next day the lobster was overcooked and rubbery. I refuse to eat it I was denied a refund. $86 lobster burnt. We caught a crew member in our hot tub, “fixing the Jets”. We asked him who asked him to come. He ended up being in the wrong room. The first 2 days our TV remote did not work my son couldn’t watch tv. Leak in ceiling got patched 2x moldy smell. Horrible
