First time in Puerto Morelos. Grand Residences is phenomenal if you want a quieter vacation with a great room, fantastic service, above average food, decent variety of cuisine, awesome pool and beach area, and a smattering of on site activities. We loved it. David the concierge was very helpful. Did a couple excursions like snorkeling and bike ride into town that were both great. Good place for families. A couple tips; if you order room service allow for at least an hour and order double as the portions are rather small. Also, if you do not like the theme night buffet at dinner then ask for a menu to order what you want.

This resort is very clean and food quality is very good. But the construction is not complete yet. Meaning it only has two restaurants and one beach restaurant. There are only two pools, one for lane swim and the larger one which has two sections for adults and families. There is basically no entertainment in this resort. After 5 pm there isn't even music playing around the pool. At 5 they pack up the speakers and put them away so it feels very dead. If you like somewhere clean and quiet this place is perfect, but be ready to get bored. The extend of entertainment is playing bingo by the pool in the afternoons which meant for one hour they stopped the music and read the numbers at load one by one even if only 5 people were participating.

This is the best resort we have ever stayed in! The food, drinks, service, pools, beach, etc was absolutely perfect. We couldn't believe how great it was. We kept waiting for something bad to happen but it was all perfect!! Highly recommend and we will be back.

Excellently located hotel with a very close to the ocean , ocean views. Staff was friendly and helpful with anything needed. We did some day trips from this hotel and the concierge and travel desk arranged everything nicely.

Our family enjoyed our time at the resort. The room was spacious and we loved having our own private hot tub and pool. Everything was so clean! It is a nice quiet resort. The transportation to and from the resort is wonderful. A nice private SUV and the drivers are really friendly and nice. We did travel with our two teenagers and I would say the resort is more catered to little kids. They have activities but not really for my 17 year old son. I would definitely go back to this resort with my husband but maybe not my teenage kids. They had a nice time but a larger all inclusive might be better for that age range.

Our family (2 teen boys) were looking for a quiet, relaxed beach stay and Grand Residences was a perfect fit. The staff are great, from the airport transfer drivers and concierge, to the waitstaff, cabana attendants and housekeepers. Our Master Suite was huge and the private hot tub was perfect for hanging out at night after dinner. Plenty of quality food options at 2 restaurants, with theme nights to switch things up during your stay. Shrimp tacos at Heaven Beach Bar are great! There are a handful of daily activities, including a daily bike tour into town (Puerto Morelos). Some reviewers complained about signing receipts for meals/drinks/etc, this is only to provide a means to tip your room account. This resort does have timeshare units, and some reviewers complained about timeshare sell pressure - we were not asked about timeshare once during our entire stay. Overall a great experience, highly recommended to anyone who wants a more quiet beach resort experience away from the craziness of the Cancun hotel area.
