The resort was very nicely landscaped and the staff were friendly. The food at both the buffets and restaurants were very good. Having privileges at the other resorts was very nice and added to the experience. The one thing we did not understand and made no sense for a family resort was no place for teens to hang out after 8:00pm. The teen club closed and the other place that had pool and foosball kicked teens out after 8:00pm.

I traveled with my husband and two kids (11 & 8) I booked Marina El Cid, however when we got there we were upgraded to Ventus Ha. The properties are incredibly well kept, staff were amazing, food was absolutely delicious and there were an abundance of activities for all of us. I'd highly recommend this hotel!

The grounds were very beautiful and well kept. The staff was always friendly and helpful. There was also a very large, well maintained swimming pool close to our room with an impressive cliff diving and water slide feature. The restaurants were roomy with a large number of tasty dishes!

We stayed for four days- one day, it took 5 hours and 4 phone calls to finally get our room cleaned. We had given our maid a tip prior to leaving our room and looks like she had just left without cleaning. Same day our TV was broken and it took another three calls for them to finally send someone. Next day, ALL WATER, ELECTRICITY was off for the entire resort. No water to shower nor use toilet, and no air conditioning at all. We sat in our pitch black room in 85 degree weather. Absolutely no apologetic attitude from staff.

My family and I stayed at the Ventus Ha for 6 nights. The resort consists of 3 hotels(Ventus Ha, Ventus and Marina El Cid) Every facility is within walking distance and they provide unlimited golf cart transportation within the resort. So many food/restaurants selections available. Staff are always kind and helpful. The hotel room was neat and clean. All inclusive option is worthy. I really enjoyed staying there for the spring break and cant wait to revisit next time.

It was my family's first time ever to mexico a friend suggested we stay at Marina El Cid We were blown away by the whole resort many activities to do many pools. On top there were always different activities and shows daily. The roof top bar Ruf 60 was amazing with the sunset view. Will be coming back for sure next year with more family just deciding when next year in april

We really enjoyed all the pool options and the jumping rock for the kids. Activities were great for the kids during the day and the evening shows were fun for the whole family. Having access to all 3 resorts was great as it gave a lot of options for food. Dinner reservations were tricky and difficult to find available times and then we had one restaurant close on the night of our reservation which was disappointing. Overall we loved our stay and will likely return.

Property is ok not the greatest but there is other location on property stay away from building 18, try to get bld 28 , 30 etc those are far newer. Our room ac didnt work well at all most days and nights were hot asked them to check it they came a few times and did nothing , rooms on firat floor flooded out , swimming pools are not headed and are ice cold. Paid for vip and butler service , please dont waste your money on it

Overall, a decent resort when compared to others in the price range, some strong points but also some rough spots. The good - the property is incredible! The vegetation is amazing, and the large pool was without a doubt the best we've ever seen. Everything was clean, and the rooms were spacious, although some are showing their age a little. The beach was just okay - the staff kept it clean, but it wasn't very usable as far as swimming because of the jettys and rocks. It was still nice to venture out though! Similarly, the food was okay - buffets were average, but the crowded nature made it overwhelming for both the patrons and the staff (who were definitely trying their best!). The dinners at the reservation-required restaurants were top notch though, but: The dinner reservation system is not good - we arrived in the late afternoon, and because you can book out two evenings, everything (and I mean everything) was full for our first three nights, so we didn't even have the option. We were able to book for our last three nights, but this was also not a great experience as you had to line up early and it took a long time. Only being able to experience 3 of 6 dinners at the restaurants felt a little like we didn't get what we paid for. Finally, the place makes you pay for WiFi beyond two devices. I have never had this experience before, whether at a cheap motel or an all-inclusive - making people pay $100 for two additional devices feels cheap and unnecessary.

Overall, very good. The rooms were well maintained, kept very clean and stocked throughout.The food options and service was strong, the pools were pristine and there was lots of activities and entertainment on the resort. The kids club option was really cute, and the fitness facilities were amongst the best I've seen in a location like this. The staff was generally pleasant and helpful and wanted to make the stay special. This was appreciated. However, I recommend doing your research in advance. There were several small drawbacks which could be avoided. For example, you need to reserve dinner two nights in advance, which means you may not have a reservation for the first two nights. The service desk that connects you with excursions was slow, terribly uninformed and disorganized. We wondered if this was a deliberate strategy to place one in a situation where you had to pay a heavily inflated price. I would have liked to have seen a bit more enforcement of the conduct rules, some guests behaved in a ridiculous manner - but I get it, they weren't really staffed for that. Beware of the offer of a 90 minute presentation for their premium club in exchange for discounts. We had assumed it was an information session but turned into a near 3-hr, awkward hotel California style confinement. We literally had to become impolite to end the session. All that to say, it was a great experience, punctuated with minor irritants which can be avoided. If given the option, is rate 4.5/ very good
