My initial impression was that the this hotel is amazing, feels like you walked into a tropical paradise. Friendly staff. The rooms were amazing and everything is clean. The bad parts, no reservations at most restaurants. The only thing I could reserve was the Hibachi table at the Asian restaurant but that through an app the day before. My 5 year old daughter had an accident at the property, went on a stage to meet characters, me and my wife went on stage with our 3 kids. The staff asked one of us to get off the stage, said only one parent is allowed. I was not sure of this reasoning, did not argue thinking they would take precautions. My daughter falls off stage and breaks her arm bone.

I recently stayed at this resort and was a bit disappointed overall. The food was below average, lacking variety and flavor. Service and amenities were mediocre at best—not terrible, but definitely nothing special. The beach was poorly maintained, which was a big letdown. While a few staff members were very helpful and friendly, others came across as lazy and uninterested in assisting guests. It wasn’t the worst experience, but given the inconsistencies, I’d probably look at other resort options next time.

Disappointing Stay

We’ve stayed at a secrets previously (Punta Cana) and expected our stay to be somewhat similar. That was not our experience. Unfortunately the food was substantially worse. And the service was not great either. We had two rooms and stayed 5 days. One room only got a refill in the mini fridge once the entire stay and the other room got it twice, as opposed to our secrets stay when it was refilled every day. The staff seemed stress and annoyed everywhere. Our bathtub wouldn’t drain and we never got it fixed. The sound at the resort is also a problem. I get it’s a family resort. But the rooms themselves have little soundproofing. Definitely would not return or recommend.

Dreams Riviera is an awesome resort. It’s smaller in size, which makes life easier when you come with kids. The rooms are spacious, and we stayed in one with a little pool. My kids loved it. The staff is amazing, Alejandra who leads activities was so sweet and full of energy and Alejandro at the swim up bar so sweet to my 5 year old son. He chatted with him and made him feel like he was his buddy. Overall, all staff was great. Food was also very high quality, we especially enjoyed the sea food and Mexican restaurants.

The property is well maintained. Food options are good. The entertainment is good. An improvement could be required to provide beach chairs with shades. I could not get a chair with shade at the pool all 4days.

This resort is very easy to navigate. There is a variety of food options and no reservations were required. Entertainment was awesome. The only thing I would want to change is our room. We were ground floor next to stairs, elevator and staff area. Very noisy and limited sleep at night. The rooms are very clean! We would go there again
