"Nice clean hotel"
The hotel was well located and very clean bed comfortable and staff very nice. The only bad thing is the cable only has a couple English channels and I had requested a king bed and got 2 fulls but breakfast was way above most places free offerings. I would stay again.

"Third time here - still love it"
Hotel is nicely laid out with 2 pools oceanfront and one in the middle. Room very clean and comfy. Would recommend the sitting area have 2 chairs instead of just one. We spent most of our time in the oceanfront area at the 2 pools - the view is spectacular. Food was great at the buffets. My husband did not bring long pants so we could not done at the specialty restaurants. I wish they would change the policy to include dress shorts - he wears Tommy Bahama dress shorts and shirts which are ver stylish....I also wish one of the pools was adults only and smoke free. Even with those recommendations - we still felt relaxed and thoroughly enjoyed the vacation

"Excellent family resort"
Beautiful Resort on reef. Great place for divers and snorkelers. A manmade sandy beach with easy access to ocean. Resort is not on the water, but a short walk across road or through a beautiful underground tunnel comes out at resturant and beach with palm trees and new lounge furniture. All inclusive buffett was great. Breakfast was excellent. plenty of fresh fruit and many choices. Two options for lunch by the pool or by the beach. Dinner dining was great as well, pasta station was amazing. This was our second time here and they have had many upgrades! The staff was always polite and very helpful. Its's about a 10 minute ride from the airport (cost about $8:00 each usd via collective shuttle) Resort is a short walk (about 15 minutes) to shopping in town or $5:00 usd cab ride.

"Diamond in the Rough"
Hotel B is a gorgeous hotel. When you pull up the front is pretty unassuming. However, once you enter and go around back to the pool and beach side of the hotel you feel as if you have entered paradise. The pool is warm so you can swim day or night and the ocean comes right up to the property so you can enter the water from the jacuzzi area or the pier! My only issues with Hotel B are that the rooms are dated and in need of quite a few upgrades. The beds are comfortable, but the curtains have holes in them, electricity works via key card, and the bathrooms are small. However, it is comfortable enough and the exterior beautiful enough to make your stay pleasant. For the most part the hotel staff are great (shout out to Concepcion who was awesome!). There are a few on staff who behave as if they do not want to serve you (we were at the pool and did not receive poolside service; however, others were observed being attended to throughout the visit. Otherwise this place is great! If you are looking for all the frills of an all-inclusive resort like the big names, then this place is not for you. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing vacation then book fast...so much bang for your buck!

"Beautiful property"
You really can't complain too much when you are welcomed to a hotel with a glass of champagne to enjoy while you check in. The property was wonderful, and the beach was just gorgeous. The staff was really great, and its nice that they begin to recognize you after a day or two. The fire show was nice - I enjoyed the entertainment offered. The French restaurant Bordeaux on property was delicious, the Windows café was also good, though much of the other food was mediocre and room service was terrible. But I guess the flowing drinks made up for that! :) Not all was perfect, however we made the best of it. We had to switch rooms as they had our reservation wrong and had to put us in a king bed room for a night until a room with 2 beds was available the following day. The a/c in our second room went out twice, but maintenance came to repair and it worked well after the second repair.

"Our 2nd stay at El Cid"
We just got back from our 2nd stay at El Cid. We loved it and will return. The snorkeling is amazing! The staff are top notch. Adrian, Paulina and Virginia to name a few. This is a small resort which is what we like about it. All the rooms are ocean front. It is a quick cab ride from the airport and you can walk down to the pier and go shopping. If your looking for a small laid back place to sun, snorkel and relax this is a perfect spot.

"Explorian Resort relaxing and just what we needed."
Upon check in we were notified we were upgraded to rooms at the newer Explorian at no additional charge. This was the perfect setting for our 4 day get away with the intent to relax! We stayed at the resort the full trip. Food was 4 star, compared to a previous stay at Dreams resort, it was a step down. Dining in all the restaurants was more casual. Coffee bar staff not very friendly. The bar was self serve at times if there wasn't a server there. If there was a server, the wait was often a while to get your drink. Drinks were good, watered down for sure. Pool area was nice, towels were always stocked. The pool at the Explorian was nice and warm like bath water. Rooms had no TV which was great for us! Every morning a picnic basket with coffee, juice, sweet bread was delivered outside the door. Snorkeling gear avail to check out for 1 hour increments. No real beach area. Rocky, but good for some snorkeling-not the best in terms of fish, reef, color like you see in Hawaii. If you're looking for that would advise going off the resort. The Explorian rooms offered activities we didn't partake because the trip was intended to sit and relax. Our kids came along and were in a room right next door to us which was great.

"Most amazing place I have stayed"
Stayed 4 nights here and was absolutely blown away by the villa, the staff and attention to every detail. Resort staff was extremely attentive to our every need and eager to make sure we were enjoying our experience. Marisio was our personal concierge and we couldn't say enough about how he treated us and made us feel at home. The Villas are amazing. I would highly recommend the ones with a jacuzzi. We will definately be back!!

Our Guide To Cheap Cozumel Hotels

Sometimes the culture of Mexico City calls to you, tempting you to its high altitude with the promise of Aztec architecture and neighborhoods densely packed with art and culture. When winter rolls around, you can swear you hear the Baja Peninsula begging you to stop by for a week of invigorating surfing. Meanwhile, just off the east coast of the Yucatan Peninsula, the island of Cozumel beckons you to come play on its beaches and snap photos of its crystal blue water. The destination may be a popular cruise port, but there’s more to Cozumel than a few hours shopping for souvenirs and stretching your legs. A wise wanderer such as yourself can spend an entire vacation diving in the Palancar Reef and learning about tequila at Discover Mexico Cozumel Park.

You’ll stand before Chankanaab National Park, admiring its soft, white sand beach with crystal clear water. Watching the tide come in, you’re tempted to go for a float—and we trust that you will follow the feeling. Throw on your snorkel mask and head to the iron shore. These limestone beaches take your breath away and melt away any trace of worry. While iron shore beaches might be tough on the feet, the rocky surface makes them the perfect spot to attract beautiful wildlife. Book your stay in Cozumel hotels now, wise wanderer, and don’t forget to pack plenty of sun screen.

    Where to Stay in Cozumel

The best places to stay in Cozumel poise you to gain easy access to the coast. Within minutes of opening your peepers in the morning, you can be in your swimsuit and on the sand. When you’re in paradise, there isn’t a moment to waste, after all. Book a room in one of these welcoming resorts, and you always have a comfortable place to retire when your day playing in the waves comes to an end:

    • Presidente InterContinental Cozumel Resort & Spa: This presidential accommodation makes it easy to soak up the Caribbean climate Cozumel enjoys all year-round. Have a superb soak in the spa tubs overlooking the ocean, or bring a book to the manicured lawns and relax in a hammock. Back in your private suite, plush bathrobes make lounging in comfort easy as pie.
    • Sunscape Sabor Cozumel- All Inclusive: The Sunscape resort takes its all-inclusive title pretty seriously, and you’re treated like a celebrity from the moment you arrive. They roll out the red carpet for your kids too—literally. Once you’ve completed the fun check-in process, grab a bite at the lounge and check out the resort’s daily itinerary. Yoga, Ping-Pong, and theater are regularly on the agenda.
    • Secrets Aura Cozumel - All Inclusive: Sitting on your breezy terrace, it’s hard to come up with a reason to leave Secrets Aura. Your well-appointed room is starting to feel a lot like home. Stay in a swim-up room, and you can start splashing around within five minutes of waking up. Most balconies have a private hammock, so relaxation is a cinch. The resort also offers private scuba tours and an open-air theater.
    • El Cozumeleno Beach Resort All Inclusive: You can’t master the art of chess on a giant board at all hotels in Cozumel, but can do it at El Cozumeleno Beach Resort. Once you’ve reached checkmate, don your swimsuit and go for a relaxing float in the outdoor swimming pool. The swim up bar means refreshments are never far away. Just across the street is the Cozumel Country Club. Play a round of 18 under the sun and return to the resort for a lovely dinner at El CocalRestaurant.

Some travelers show up to Cozumel with one swimsuit, but not you, wise wanderer. You will be fully prepared for your long days on the sand and afternoons spent lounging near your resort’s outdoor pool. When you finally strap on your tennis shoes, you’re off to hike the dramatic cliffside trails. On a whim, you may decide to depart your Cozumel lodging and embark on a deep sea fishing charter. You know what they say: The most meaningful experiences can be the least expected. Book one of our Cozumel accommodations now, and you’re one step closer to the beachy vacation of your dreams.
