Maroma, a privately owned beach, is located in the Mexican State of Quintana Roo along the southeastern coast of the Caribbean Sea. There are no hotels on the actual beach since the land between the highway and the beach used to be mainly jungle—the only access was from the sea. "I’ve been here 5times, it has gone down significantly. Staff was not as helpful as before, everything is no longer all inclusive snacks in room, alcohol in room, room service. Did not get waters to room unless asked for everyday. Housekeeping didn’t give towels or need the correct amount."

"Our recent experience significantly exceeded expectations, despite initial concerns based on previous feedback. From arrival to departure, the staff consistently provided exceptional support. The property maintained impeccable cleanliness, and all feedback or concerns were addressed with the utmost professionalism. As a family traveling with children, we found our stay to be consistently positive, with assistance readily available. Regarding some negative comments concerning check-in and marketing presentations, I would like to offer clarification. Our check-in process was seamless and efficient. The marketing presentation, which details the benefits and various membership options, is conducted during breakfast, typically lasting approximately 90 minutes. This presentation is compensated with $750 in resort spa credits and $200 in "Palace Money," which can be applied to any resort services or purchases, including those at on-site retail outlets and for covering taxes not payable with credits. Regarding cleanliness, all accommodations and facilities within the resort are meticulously maintained and serviced multiple times daily. A diverse range of entertainment activities was available for all family members, with distinct options for both children and adults. Our preferred culinary experiences included Habibi, Tavola, Los Casos, Casa Mia, Agra, and the Grand Buffet. We also thoroughly enjoyed the memorable and secure outdoor adventure experiences."

"The hotel is surrounded by a mangrove jungle, the buildings the rooms are in feel more authentic to surroundings than a modern hotel. The staff was friendly and accommodating, the guests are more international than you would find at your standard Hilton, which we loved. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We got the privlaged packaged which gave us the à la carte dining options. The sargassum was a lot but the hotel cleaned the beach everyday. The entertainment was just that, entertain. We will definitely use the Catalonia Brand of hotels again!"

"Avoid late May to September as the beach isnt clear due to seaweed. We didn't even put our feet in the water. I know It is not really the staffs fault but that is why it 4 stars. Resorts and all inclusive service is 5 stars. Staffs still kind expect tips which is fine but when they kinda show it in their actions would be a turn off for us so no tip for those that showed. We do tip Staffs genuinely give service and didnt show expectations even deep down we know they want them but it kindda kill the vacation moods when they show. We have 2 butlers for our stay. We didnt like our night shift guy seem lazy and not very caring or accommodating. Lastly dont sign up for the sale invitation they will say it only take 45 minutes but always dragging out to more than 1 hour and when I try to cut it off second sale person/manager try to push for sale didnt like that feeling of pressure even we sorta expect and we told them we aren't interested but we will try to get free massages but just not worth it. If we can pay this type of money for the stay no need to kill the moods over free stuff but we signed up becusee the original sale person was so nice try to get us to sign up. Free massage wasnt the main reason but regret to do it becuase it kindda kill our mood for few hours. Over all if the quality control read this maybe try to train staffs again regarding how they should earn their tip even if they dont get tips they should reconsidering give better service instead provide worse ser."
