In the main neighborhood of San Miguel, you can find live music and black bean soup with fish tacos to fill your stomach. Burn off any vacation calories by heading north to Cancun, where you can dance the night away in a swanky resort nightclub or a beach cabana.

"We kept getting woken up by sales call at 8:30am. They don’t even apologize for waking us up on our vacation. We declined numerous time but they keep calling. Even as we were leaving on our last day they kept pushing. The buffet food wasn’t great. Most of the food tasted horrible and Not enough choices for kids. The cocktails at the pool seemed watered down. Didn’t taste any alcohol. The Nizuc hotel in the middle buffet was MUCH better as well as their restaurants. I would recommend going there as soon as you can to try first. We enjoyed the night time entertainment."

"We chose this resort for a special family milestone and loved the beautiful location right on the beach in Rivera Maya. The size of the property was impressive, and the grounds were well-maintained. However, there is room for improvement in several areas: • Rooms: Our room felt strongly damp/humid, which made it uncomfortable. The towels provided in the room, pool, and beach were often discolored and damaged. • Minibar/Restocking: Coffee, soda, water, box of tissue and other items in the room were never restocked during our eight-night stay. • Staff: Service was very mixed. Many staff members, especially in the restaurants, were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, several employees in the buffet area and café appeared annoyed when guests asked questions. Language was also a challenge — many staff had very basic English, which made communication difficult at times."

"Our stay at Xcaret Arte was amazing. Most of the food was amazing, there’s definitely variety and other restaurants you can go to after if you don’t like the one you ate at. The staff was so kind and helpful. They worked with us to accommodate any changes we requested in itinerary. Having the parks included with transportation provided was a huge plus. The room was amazing!"

"Everything was Great. All restaurants were great. The Grill for dinner and The lobster house for breakfast was my go to. There is a coffee house bar called Aroma which sold great matcha,coffee & gelato. The pools were nice and clean and The resort felt very safe."
