Worked out as far as the location, for diving. facility was nice, clean and comfortable. Not real fancy. food got a little boring, not many choices really/ buffet, Mexican and poolside bar. Nothing to brag about as far as the food. We paid in cash extra for lobster, then they added it to our bill! They finally fixed it though, when we threatened a bag review on Travelocity. advice, just put everything on the bill, and look it over when you check out.

"2nd stay was better than the first"
Someone must have gotten talked to from our first trip to the second. On the first trip, the Royal timeshare people were so annoying and pushy that I didn't want to try this resort again. I'm so glad we made the second trip. I am low-maintenance but I still get bothered by the fact that the main pool bar by the ocean doesn't open until 11 and that there is always a line for drinks. The staff is very pleasant and the manager is very nice. I don't feel they get to know the guests as much as other resorts but I do believe it is because they are short staffed. It is unfortunate that the cruise ships block the left half of the ocean view 7 out of 7 days. The food continued to be good, but I think it is ridiculous that you have to wait in line for the two nice restaurants. I think they should do it like other Cozumel resorts where you can sign up in the morning but it doesn't have to be for that day, it can be a few days out. My husband complains the beds are super hard and that his back hurt for weeks after. I didn't notice it any different from any other hotel in Mexico. I think the location is great in regards to the distance from downtown. The snorkeling is absolutely wonderful. Bring your own gear as the "free" snorkeling shop is closed most of the time and not convenient for grabbing gear and jumping in the ocean. I cannot believe the amount of colorful fish, eels, seahorse, stingray we saw all for free jumping off the deck by the main ocean bar.

"beautiful sunsets"
we had a very relaxing vacation. the hotel staff were all very friendly. breakfast buffet was included in our plan and was very good, omelets, lots of fruit , except the breakfast sausage was really cut up hot dogs. the restaurants were very good and I didn't think it was that expensive for where you are. we enjoyed 2 for 1 happy hour. we had a reef room which was so nice to walk out right to the water. and the snorkeling was so good you don't need to take any excursions. I couldn't believe how many different kinds of fish and rays, so cool. it was nice not having to fight for beach chairs. I think it is rude when people put their stuff on a chair to hold it. just use them when you need them.

"This was everything you want in an all-inclusive!"
We stayed in November so it was rainy about half the time we were there, but we made it work. We spent one of the rainy days at the spa. The spa was beautiful and relaxing however our treatments weren't nearly as good as what we've had back home. It was really pricey, too, but that's what you should expect at a resort I suppose. The food--- ahhh the food! We never had a bad meal. In fact, nearly every meal we had was so good it was memorable. I would go back to this resort for the food alone! We never did room service because we like wanted to enjoy the beachfront dining as much as possible. The beaches were kept very clean, the staff was incredible, and the room was more than we ever expected. The entertainment was great! We learned how to make guacamole (I've been making it wrong all these years!), and we saw an incredible show with fire dancers. We highly recommend this resort. We will be back as soon as we can :)

"Good value for divers."
Good value for divers. Clean rooms, good food. Friendly staff. (There was a few miscommunications due to a language barrier, but not much.) Beach was pretty good for a rocky coast. OK shore diving. Not much of a dive shop, but suffient. Free wifi only in lobby and restaurant, and not very stong signal there.

"Nice place. Cheap, like me, but not too nasty..."
I was there for a week. Paid good money for some top notch diving, but saved on the lodging. Ear plugs came in handy one night, but afternoons are quiet, so I quickly learned to take a nap between diving and dinner and edit my photos in the evenings. The music was kind of nice when I'd had my siesta, and they generally shut it down by midnight. I went home well rested and with a lot of great pictures, but people who can't help getting angry on holiday, should avoid this place, if only so I won't have to meet you next time I stay here! (Seriously, stay at the Presidente if you are wealthy or high maintenance. I have. It's *really* nice and my dive buddies swear by it, but it's priced accordingly) You get what you pay for. Sometimes a little more, but not too much. This is practical shelter, near the center of town, not a 5 star resort. The towel animals were a treat and the staff was nice to me, but then I've learned to smile and be grateful when I'm in a strange place and don't even speak the language. I'd stay here again.
