We were here 7 years ago and had a fantastic experience. This time the employees did not seem as happy, many things were in disrepair. Printed schedules and online schedules were not the same, some restaurants were closed when they were listed as open and vice versa. House keeping was inconsistent. This visit there was a big push to become a member and attend a 90 minute sales pitch. We had to avoid the concierge area to not be “harassed. Don’t get me wrong it was still a wonderful trip, just overall not as great as before. Apparently they were recently bought up by Hyatt, so perhaps these are the changes. Also the food was not as good this time and seemed to be almost the same at each restaurant except for Bordeaux which was exceptional! The entertainment team did a wonderful job. We will go back for a third visit. Many people we met there had also been there many times and talked of the same things I mentioned here. Overall a wonderful trip to the best snorkeling destination.

We loved the overall resort, all the daily activities and staff were amazing. Food was great. You just need to pay attention to what is open and when. I highly suggest you download the app, was a life saver. The resort just needs major updating which they are in the middle of so will be amazing after.

Pool tiles falling off everywhere. Had 5 guests with me one cut his toe asked for help 3 times no one came. Tiles in the spa falling off everywhere. 3pm check in. Preferred rooms and not ready till 5pm. Food takes a good hour minimum. Rooms incomplete for decor. Tv was in the bedrooms and one couch facing a blank wall with a randoms chandelier in the middle of the room where there was clearly supposed to be a table. I have stayed this resort before for weddings. Clearly had fallen far. Going in blind it’s a good price for what you get. But as a returning customer it’s very depressing. French restaurant is only good place for dinner.

We absolutely LOVED Secrets Aura - Cozumel!! The staff are friendly and attentive! They had a lot of options for entertainment and daily activities. The beach was clean and well maintained. You can tell that they care about the appearance of the facilities. We had the best time and we WILL be returning to Secrets!

The bad…The worst part was there was an open broken sewer pipe in front of our room. The facility had no real directions to help you find your way around. The rule of men not wearing tank tops/sleeveless shirts to the restaurants during the day was ridiculous but the inconsistency was worse…my husband was told he couldn’t go in because he had a tank top on but we were looking at several men that had on tank tops. When pointed out we were told that still no he had to change. The area was beautiful and the staff overall were friendly and helpful for the most part. The food overall was terrible but the service from staff was great! Christian from the entertainment team was great. Miguel from the waitstaff was amazing.
