Great resort for the money. Loved the small and quaint feel of this resort and the wildlife was a bonus (flamingos and iguanas were cool to see). Beach was great, yes rocky, so entered the water to snorkel from the pier. Great snorkeling there. Food was good, no complaints. Some ala carte restaurants were better than others but found something good at every one. Buffet was actually decent for a buffet with different options each day. Housekeeping was great, rooms kept very clean, towel animal creations left on bed every day. :) This was our second trip to Cozumel but first time staying here. We stayed at a resort in town last year and I much preferred this one that was further out, way better beach and ocean scenery, and cute bungalows instead of high rise feel. Taxi is easily accessible to go to town and not too badly priced. I would go back to this place in a heart beat and hope to soon. We went in a group that included people of the ages ranging from 74 to 20 and there were things to do and have fun for all ages. The younger ones played volleyball every day, we parasailed from the pier one day, we took a cab into town shopping one day. Couldn't have asked for a better vacation.

We had a wonderful time. It is a beautiful setting, wonderful grounds and extremely friendly staff. You can choose to completely relax or take part in numerous activities. Which we did both. The food was wonderful. (Don't understand some reviews that were less than complementary) There are buffets, snack bars and specialty restaurants. The buffets have daily changing food options that were excellent and plentiful. We were especially impressed with the vegetarian options at each meal. The house Red, which was a Spanish Tempranillo, was very good. We will almost certainly return and would highly recommend Iberostar Cozumel to anyone traveling to the Island.

The hotel was nice and pretty. The beach was beautiful with plenty of seating in both sunlight and shade. The room had a strong musty smell and no way to ventilate the room without leaving the door open all the time. The food was mediocre at its best. Some was down right awful including the specialty restaurants. The wait staff was slow and often did not bring us soft drinks we ordered. There are no signs telling you when dining areas are open. If you tried to enter a dining room even 30 seconds too early, the staff was down right rude. I was told I could get all the information about dining times on the hotel app. The app was often inaccurate and only told you what was open for the next 30 minutes. You were also suppose to use the app to book the specialty restaurants and spa. The app failed each time. The concierge helped us book the restaurants, but was unable to help me with spa reservations. He called the spa, and then put me on the phone. The spa said I had to go the spa in person to book an appointment. The one treatment I had was good but too expensive. I would not recommend the dive shop. They had way too many people on one boat (up to 24 divers) and too many boats (up to 3 at a time) all going to the same locations. This led to confusion as to which group divers were in and congestion at the dive site. One dive master was not careful about time needed to ascend properly. I would not recommend this hotel or dive shop for anyone.

divers mecca

Pros: Reasonable price, feels upscale. Idve given higher marks if drink service was better, & sheets weren't so wet feeling, but I'm not sure if anything
Cons: Pool service for drinks, easier building identification (lost half the time)
Location: It's a bit remote, in that town is 10 miles. So a car or taxi to Punta Sur, old town is necessary. Diving is easy, set up tight at resort. Close to Pa
Great dive base, ample restaurants & bars. Friendly staff just not quite enough out by pool.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, took time to get to know you. The grounds and pool and beach were beautiful! Only complaint would be that the beds could be replaced and room could use a deep clean.

This resort was just perfect!

Pros: The excellent staff and the resort layout with the cute bungalows.
Cons: I can't think of a thing!
Location: The snorkeling was amazing! We spent most days simply relaxing at the resort in and out of the water.
I could not find one negative thing to say about our stay at Iberostar, Cozumel! The staff was friendly and helpful. There was a wonderful assortment of foods at the buffet and the other restaurants. We truly felt welcomed and appreciated by every one of the staff! We have decided that we will surely make our next stay at an Iberostar Resort again!

My family and I had a wonderful time! Hotel and room was not what we’re used to, (smaller settings). We’re used to bigger resorts. Grounds were well kept and clean. Food was very good @ the buffet and Tex Mex is a must! Pool was nice, but beach was ok, rocky to walk into the water, wear water shoes. Overall, we had fun and would recommend this resort.

The hotel itself was very nice and well manicured. Staff was friendly and room clean. Bed was a little hard and pillows lumpy but that may be a little picky. The food was not very good and the beach is very rocky and shallow pretty far out. Ended up in the pool and hardly ever on the beach due to the rocky conditions. Would have been one of my favorite places if beach was swimable.
