Everything was great! The food was amazing and so was the snorkeling. We didn't even have to scuba dive this trip. Knocked a star off because the rooms are rather small compared to most of the resorts on the island. I'd go back again and just upgrade to a bigger room.

The hotel grounds and pool area are very nice and well maintained. The rooms are extremely small, and the furnishings quite dated and in need of replacement. There is a lot of mold in the wall-mounted bath products, the bed and pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable, especially for two average size adults on the double bed. The food and drinks left a lot to be desired... the individual restaurants were worse than the general buffet. The selections at the buffet were fine with a good variety, but probably the worst quality food Ive ever had at a resort. As many others have mentioned, the bar selection is extremely limited and the liquors are very watered down. Every cocktail is also loaded with sugar, and consistently had to ask for none or less to be added. The dock and swim area were small but nice. We enjoyed snorkeling and saw a good variety of fish. There unfortunately is a non-refundable deposit to use the "free" kayaks and catamarans. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and competent. Lastly, bring everything you need because the gift store was the most expensive I have ever been too. Dont forget your hat or sunscreen because you will pay 10x too much for them on-site. Getting kids a trinket or buying some tequila is better at the airport.

The room was dated but perfectly adequate for a beach vacation. Housekeeping kept it spotless throughout our stay. We stayed during a very busy time so the resort was quite full but never felt crowded and there was plenty of pool and beach space for everyone. The staff seemed a bit stressed but were always pleasant and helpful. Food quality and choices were top notch. We came to dive and it doesn’t get much more convenient than this. Dressel Divers has a shop and dock on premises and Palencar Reef is a short boat ride away. The reef was vibrant and healthy as ever. So the dive experience underwater is excellent. However Dressel crowds 30 divers on each boat which is simply too much. They can’t even carry enough air for everyone and need to go back to the dock to reload between dives. The resort grounds, amenities and adjacent areas are gorgeous and safe for long long walks. Overall a very positive experience at Iberostar Cozumel.

We enjoyed the beautifully kept garden areas, bars, coffee machine, animals, and staff. our room was always cleaned by the time we returned from breakfast! The beach is not an easy beach to enjoy, very rocky. I took a free scuba try out class in the pool and my tank ran out of air. not too safe!!!! we went on the discover class the following day and did 3 dives. Will return again sometime soon.

We had an incredible stay at Iberostar Waves Cozumel. My husband, our 2.5-year-old son, and I enjoyed every moment. From arranging a nanny to getting back into scuba diving after almost three years, everything was handled so smoothly. Babysitting: We were genuinely impressed with the babysitting crew. Isabella (front desk manager) was like the sweetest auntie to our son—warm, attentive, and always there when we needed help. Alexia (kitchen chief assistant) went above and beyond to entertain him and make sure our picky eater was happy. And Michele was so friendly and caring. They all made us feel completely at ease and added so much comfort to our trip. Food: The food was simply amazing. The variety was mind-blowing, everything cooked perfectly, and we loved having the main restaurant plus three specialty restaurants. We never had a meal that wasn’t great. Room: Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-kept. It was on the smaller side for a family of three, and the beds could be a bit softer, but overall it met our needs and we slept well. Diving: The dive crew was awesome! Each dive master had their own personality, but Veronica was definitely our favorite. She was everything you’d hope for—knowledgeable, confident, charismatic, and so lively and open. She made every dive memorable. Staff is the big standout for us. Everybody was helpful. The Executive Chef managed a great kitchen with delicious choices. The Property needs a refresh in terms of looking impeccable with EVERYthing working properly. We will go back to Iberostar again, and we aren't even divers!
