This was the third time staying at this property. I love the location, the hard working friendly staff, incredible food, great snorkeling right off the pier. Very nice rooms, budget friendly.

It's a fine institution overall, but a couple of irritants make me think a 5 star review would be dishonest. The good: great location, awesome spot for snorkeling (I even went east for snorkeling and preferred their spot, walking distance from city center. The medium: the food was overall good, since it's often a buffet, most people are likely going to find a couple of things to feast on; mine were the ceviche, the tacos Al pastor and the BBQ meats. Many things however taste of some pretty nasty and cheap margarine, mainly pastries and breads, but occasionally savory foods. THe bad: the hotel is quite old looking and walls are paper thin. If your neighbors are rarely there, great. If however like me your neighbors smoke in the room and religiously watch reruns of 80s television at close to maximum volume, your stay may be somewhat less pleasant. Advised the stuff of noise problem, they said they'd send someone to close their tv (they kept it on even when gone, cause 80s TV was just that good), but the TV stayed on at max. Had to tell the neighbors myself the next day.

Cozumel hotel and resort is conveniently located for those interested in going to dive or snorkel. Service and hospitality was amazing. Would love to return if I come back to Cozumel.

Great overall stay
I stayed at another all inclusive during my same trip to Cozumel, and the two resorts could not have been more different. The other one was in the southern part of the island away from town. It was definitely more tranquil and peaceful having a private sandy beach, andlush grounds to walk around in. But this location makes it easy to walk or travel to town and it has a very condensed but beautiful beach area where you can snorkel or dive right from. Customer service at both locations was great to me and each had their pros and cons with food and drink, but overall very pleased with both.if you are used to four and five star resorts, you may be disappointed, but if you are a casual traveler, looking to get away and make your eating and drinking convenient, you can’t beat this. I should note that it was definitely a crowd of people mostly in their 50s and up so if you are looking for a younger scene, this would not be the place.

The pool area is so nice. Service and staff (mostly) is great. There needs to be more updating on the rooms and more walk in showers. The ability to pick a room online so there is no confusion when you arrive is very much needed.
