great hotel on a beautiful island

Pros: It is very clean, staff is very knowledgeable and friendly, food is very good.
Cons: Stop pushing the membership package so hard. It's annoying even if they are respectful. Food could be delivered a little faster.
Location: Location is right on the edge of town making everything easy to walk to.
We have been to Cozumel several times. This is the second time we have stayed at the Palace. Can't say enough about this hotel. Quite a few of the same staff is there from 5yrs ago when we were there. Some of them actually remembered us! Going above and beyond is there daily routine.

This is not a 4+ star hotel.

Pros: The diving.
We didn't like the all inclusive part, because the food and service in the restaurants was just so-so. The whole points thing is confusing and frustrating, and leads to a lot of misunderstandings and hard feelings. The hotel is crowded, and unbearable when it rains, since everybody stays indoors. There are LOTS of kids and young people so it is loud, too. not enough shade around the pool. Overall, not a bargain, unless you have kids or want to spend all of your time partying in e pool.

enjoy throwing away money? This is your place..

Terrible overall. The "credits" are a joke you can go to all of the places they offer cheaper just by going on your own. Taking the tours leaves no time to actually enjoy the activities. Horrible food and the dive shop is a joke. The boats are not separated by experience level, they are slow and you have to dive their profile. I would not recommend to anyone.

Great Vacation!

We loved Cozumel Palace. The service there was excellent. And scuba diving with the one at the resort was good too!! We will come back.

Trip of a Lifetime!

We recently returned from our 9 day Honeymoon trip from the Cozumel Palace. We had never been to Cozumel, nor to any of the other Palace resorts. It was the most amazing experience. The staff, food, accommodations, rooms and location were above any expectations we had prior to our trip. We felt very safe and comfortable the entire time. The hotel staff were the absolute best at arranging excursions, giving advice and being so friendly that we felt as if we were family. Alexandro was our breakfast server who each day remembered our drinks and greeted us each and every morning with a vibrant smile. Sylvia was our poolside server, and as soon as we were on the pool deck she was making sure we had drinks, towels, water and were completely comfortable while outside. Raul and Roger were at the swim up bar and ensured that we were having the best experience while sitting at the bar with them. As well as Daniel, Gabriel and Josue they kept us smiling and enjoying each and everyday we were there. Ricardo was with the Flamingo Restaurant. He was truly a first class server. We continued to return to Flamingo night after night just to share our evening with Ricardo, rain or shine. Including one evening in which he brought over an umbrella in case of rain.  We took a day tour to the Playacar Palace where once again, we felt like first class guests. As far as I can tell all of the Palace Resorts are well worth the experience. We will for sure be making a trip back to the Cozumel Palace.

Best Family Trip Ever

I purchased the trip in January 2013 for the end of June after doing much research and looking at other reviews of various "all inclusive" resorts.  I am so glad that we chose the Cozumel Palace to stay; not only was the staff courteous, friendly, helpful, informative but the new our names; helped with the baby (yes we traveled with our granddaughter) and catered to our every need.  All the food we eat was very good and as advertised by the hotel; the free liquor was always top-shelf even in the rooms.  And the resort credits were more then enough to allow us to do all sorts of things including scuba dive, snorkel, spa trips for the wife and daughter and rent a car for a day of adventures on the other side of the island.  Bottom line; the Palace resorts are top notch and well worth the money and 5-stars.

Best vacation ever!

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet, all inclusive
The Cozumel Palace had the best staff members! During our stay my family members and self kept commenting on how pleasant, and attentive the staff was. Resort offers 1500 credits which may be used all for dives or other activities. You are required to pay taxes though.

Small resort within walking distance to downtown San Miguel. Exceptional staff.

Pros: Free Internet, all inclusive
This is a small resort compared to others we have stayed in. There is no beach, however they have a sandy area with beach chairs. There is snorkeling with a good variety of fish from an attached pier area. We used to $1500 credit to upgrade our room, have a couples massage, visit Chankanaab and swim with dolphins. Our room liquor dispenser had Jimador 100% agave tequila, Bacardi rum, Smirnoff vodka, and whiskey (forget variety) and a well stock small fridge with soda, water, beer extra. We enjoyed the outdoor restaurant the best. Each night they had a different variety of freshly grilled meats and fish along with fresh vegetable and fruit selections. We did eat at each of the other restaurants once. Breakfast was always great with freshly prepared omelets, cappuchino, and a multitude of other breakfast items. Do not bother to get pesos. Everyone accepts dollars. I found it very difficult to convert $ to pesos in my head, so it was just easier using $. If you make a purchase and they give you pesos in return, make sure you are getting real money. We were given "tokens" (brass colored coin, about the size of a quarter, with a bird encircled in stars on one side and "no cash value" on the other), as change at one store in San Miguel. It is very safe to walk to and from town. There is a large WalMart style store extremely close if you forget something. We rented a jeep and drove around the island. I would not bother to go to the paid beach clubs. We went to San Francisco Beach Club. Each person had to spend or pay $10, everything else is free (parking, lounge chairs, restrooms, pool) however you are paying to sit on a crowded beach and purchase drinks and food when you can do the same thing for free at the resort (unless you want to walk on a beach) The east side of the island is beautiful. We stopped at a public beach (limited parking along the road) on the east side. The surf is rough and we did not get into the water. We stopped at the tequila factory and did the tour which cost $10 (displayed price $14) and included a margarita. It was interesting, however you can get the same info at any of the free tequila tastings on the island. We took the ferry to the resort in Playa del Carmen. It is a much larger resort right on the beach in Playa del Carmen. They do offer transportation to Playa del Carmen with other incentives if you want to listen to their vacation options (time share). We said we were not interested. We had a great vacation.

Cozumel Palace was Wonderful!

Our stay at Cozumel Palace was everything we could have possibly hoped for. Everything was clean and spotless. The food was exceptional. But best of all was the staff. They waited on us hand and foot. They made us feel so welcome. I can't tell you how many times they told us "Thank You! I have a job because folks like you come here for vacation!" Two thumbs up!
