The trip was over my birthday and the staff even surprised me with a special birthday decorated room!!!!! Breakfast "buffet" is always fresh options and very tastey!! We will always stay at Casa Mexicana when in Cozumel!!!!

We stayed on top floor balcony facing the water and it was beautiful. The breakfast was very good, lots of variety. Don't leave your plate unattended because it's open air area and birds will take your food.

Breakfast, which was included was just ok, at best. If your room balcony bordered the center dining area on the second floor, sleeping in was only possible if you had earplugs. Barking dogs in the building as well as screaming children just reverberated throughout the center of the building. If peace and quiet is what you are looking for at this hotel, I’d look at the rooms with the ending numbers of -09 through -20. Also be ready for banging and drilling from some sort of renovation work being done in this hotel after 8 am each week day.

Casa Mexicana has been my go-to place to stay for the past 6 years. Located right downtown, it's very convenient and there are a lot of restaurants and shopping nearby. There are always Taxis waiting just in front which makes it easy to go anywhere on the island. The staff at Casa Mexicana are all very friendly and do everything they can to make my stay comfortable. Rooms are very clean and the air conditioning is excellent in the rooms. I highly recommend Casa Mexicana to anyone wanting a clean, cool, convenient place to stay while on Coumel.
