Clean rooms, excellent food and never ending cocktails that were delicious. Just be mindful if you have any mobility issues, the resort is extremely large and there are a lot of steps, many of which do not have hand rails. There are shuttles but they are few and far between and can take over 30 minutes to wait at a shuttle stop, assuming there are enough available seats in the one that comes by. If you want to eat at the restaurants, reservations were a challenge and very frustrating because restaurants that were “fully booked” were empty when when you walked by them and when you speak with the hostess, they would not seat you even when people were more than 20 minutes late for their reservation time. They all claimed they had to hold the spot in case the party that reserved ever showed up. I’ve been to many other resorts and they generally have a 10 or 15 minute rule and you lose your spot if you’re not in time. The buffets are great but it would have been nice to try more restaurants while we were there.

Overall the property was nice. Food was generally good, and there were plenty of things to do. Most of the staff were very helpful, and went out of their way to make it a pleasant stay. We did have a great experience with Hannah, but otherwise the concierges were a LOT of talk and few results. For instance, the motion-sensor light in our bathroom malfunctioned on the third day, and we talked to several different concierges over three different days who assured us it would be taken care of promptly. On the fourth day, it was finally the cleaning staff who gets credit for getting maintenance within 15 minutes. The sliding door to the balcony wouldn't lock, and they never did fix that after multiple requests. The concierge desks were often empty around mid-day, which is surprising for a property this large. One of the concierge managers (?) showed up and demanded mid-sentence to know why I was speaking Spanish to his staff. I take it he wanted to prove that he and his staff were competent in English (and functionally they were), but to challenge a guest who chose to speak Spanish (my Spanish is at least as good as his English), seemed to underline an attitude issue. We all have bad days, but this was over the line. My votes for improvements would be: * Have more functional motion-sensor lighting in the rooms * Offer more than Dos Equis beer (often flat), even if for a fee * Better availability at "themed" restaurants * Less pestering of Expedia guests (yellow wristbands)

Upon check in we were assigned a room with one bed when we specifically booked and then reminded again that we needed two beds. We got to the room and there were many ants all over the counters, floors, etc. They offered to fumigate the room which we declined and were reassigned another room with an obstructed ocean view which again we paid extra for. The A/C in both rooms was very warm which they stated the resort needed to upgrade the unit in that building. The dining was a challenge to reserve at the specially restaurants so we were stuck eating at the buffet every night which is only open from 7-10:30 AM 12-3 and 6-9 so if your looking to eat outside those hours your out of luck. Overall it was a bit of a disappointing experience. I would not return back to this particular resort.

The Grand Sirenis is a great family oriented resort with quality dining options, a beautiful snorkeling beach and fabulous mixologia bar. We particularly enjoyed the beach bbq for lunch, the italian restaurant and the carnal fashion cuisine show. We had great service from Cecile at tge archery range, good drinks on the beach from Brenda and Irene and great lunch service from Jose. We would recommend Sirenis for family vacations as the resort is a bit off the beaten track from playa del carmen, but close to akumal and tulum. Our friends did have issues with their rooms smelling of mold, so I would recommend requesting a room in a higher floor. Also our elevator never worked all 10 days, the concierge in our neighboring building was rude when we turned down the welcome breakfast (sales pitch) and you get limited mini bar services. Also at check in we weren't given much info as the goal is to get you talking to your concierge so they can sell you, we received a few phone calls but our friends were called every morning so eventually unplugged their phone.

the room was fine for our stay. housekeeping replaced towels, made the bed and cleaned floors each day. mini bar did not get restocked, nor did toiletry items. even though there were a handful of pleasant employees we encountered, for the majority, customer service lacked and made us feel insignificant. Food was good enough, did have many options on the buffet. drinks were so so at bars, except at the Mixologist bar - they were great. would not stay there again due to lack of overall customer service.

Amenities are great and staff are excelent. I did have some issues with front desk not being very helpful with some incidents that happened but the rest of the staff were wonderful. The best part of this resort is the amazing food and service all restaurants have! I have stayed in many different resorts in the Riviera Maya and this is definitely the best quality of food and most delicious dishes that I've ever had. I visited with my sister and eldery Mother that has dementia; and Chef Fernando and all his staff went out of their way to made us feel like home! I also noticed they gave the same extraordinary service to all of the other guests. All kitchen staff were always extremely joyful, helpful, made jokes, provided suggestions of best foods to try and even gave tips of places to visit. I cannot say enough of this wonderful culinary experience and extraordinary service by Chef Fernando and all of his staff! And this is the main reason I'll definitely go back and will bring family and friends! Also this resort is far away from everything, which makes it perfect to go and relax and just enjoy the fun shows and delicious fodo they have!

Me and my husband came here on my honeymoon and sent an email prior to our arrival to notify the resort. The resort asked us to bring a copy of our marriage certificate, which we did and provided at our check in. Despite this, they did nothing special for our honeymoon. Some of our group got wine or champagne delivered to their room or animals made out of towels, we didn’t get any of this even. Definitely disappointed in the lack of effort to make our honeymoon special.

Didn’t like that the beach washrooms always had issues, no toilet paper, plugged toilets. No security at the beach, would like to see security walking around. The washroom in our bedroom, bath tub leaking at the tap area, shower door didn’t close and caused water to go over the floor, light in washroom are on a sensor and constantly going out, needed to always carry my cell to use the light. We were a group of 10 and had 5 rooms, each of us had a least 2 issues each, the safe wasn’t working for some, toilet button was pushed and stuck which caused the water to continuously run.

We had an amazing stay at this resort in Mexico! The staff were incredible and truly made our experience special from start to finish. There were so many activities to choose from, and our kids had the best time interacting with the monkeys, coatis, and iguanas that freely walk around the resort — such a unique and fun experience for the whole family. The buffet was excellent and nothing like a typical resort buffet. The very first night, they were grilling fresh lobster right at the buffet, which was amazing. There were so many stations to choose from — cooked seafood, sushi, poke bowls, chicken, beef — pretty much anything you could want, they had it! The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, and we loved the Michael Jackson tribute show — it was awesome! We made such great memories here as a family and would absolutely come back. If you’re considering staying here, I definitely recommend it!
