Melia is the cleanest property in the area. They spend lots of time making it that way. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Food and beverages were excellent. The best part is the BEACH!!! The water was nice and they clean up the seaweed daily.

Great options for families with smaller kids, as the daily activities were fantastic. Buffet food was okay, the restaurants were great but getting reservations was difficult. The beach was amazing, not too crowded even though the hotel was completely full. I would definitely stay again.

Probably the best beach in the area. The food was reasonable and probably slightly better given that the buffet was small. However, the reserved dining restaurants were less than desirable. Do not book the shuttle from the airport. It was 130 Canadian where the cab ride actually cost $10.00 Quiet property and staff were pleasant although less engaging than I am used to at an all-inclusive resort in Mexico, but that wasn’t necessarily a bad thing for no apparent reason the pool bar doesn’t open till 11 but you can drink only mimosas from the buffet until then. Not really a problem just odd.

Beautiful ocean view. Lovely beach. They worked hard to take and clean the seaweed. Food options were very limited. Service was terrible. Entertainment was comically bad. The point of an all inclusive is to now have to worry about planning and paying for dining but this place was so bad we ate out nearly every meal. No snacks in the rooms. No room service (extra charge). We had 3 rooms and all had maintenance issues. Bars have limited hours. No service by the pool beyond the swim up bar. Had I known I would have booked somewhere else. It’s an ok hotel but an awful all-inclusive resort.even those that upgraded to “Level” status were disappointed in the experience, service, and food

Lots to love at Melia Cozumel

Melia is one of the best all inclusives in Cozumel. Medium size, good beach access and well designed. Friendly and efficient staff, comfy rooms. Top flight liquor and bar drinks. The only flaw is that buffet meals are repetitive and ultimately boring. Best is breakfast with lots of fresh fruit, to-order omelettes, baked goods. For dinner, I would recommend making reservations for the 3 specialty restaurants, no extra charge, which are more interesting, or going the short distance by car or foot to "the Lobster House". Another option is taking a taxi into town where there are many good restaurants. I would return to Melia happily.

The staff was amazing, everyone was super helpful and polite. The food was great and the service was amazing. This place had one of the only sandy beaches in Punta Norte and was easily walkable with or without shoes/sandals. It was within walking distance of some great snorkeling and great restaurants if you wanted to taste the town. All in all the only complaint I have is that we couldn’t stay longer and it’s already booked out 1 year in advance which will make my next trip down harder! Highly recommend!

This was a smaller all-inclusive property. The staff was great, the food was good, the beach was beautiful. Well within walking distance of several great restaurats.

Small property located on a beautiful stretch of beach. Staff was exceptional and very friendly. Rooms were very small and always damp and stinky. Food was below a average based on our past all inclusive experiences.
