"Fantastic All Inclusive!"
An A+! Great food & service. Beautiful pools & landscaping. So close to shopping & ferry pier to Cozumel Island. Loved the coffee shop. The evening entertainment shows were full of unbelievable talent. Our rm was always clean & restocked with more amenities than we could ever want. Loved the slippers, robes, jet tub and patio hammock in our rm. Only one negative, the bed was too hard for our liking. Can't wait to go back again!

Excellence Riviera Cancun - Adults Only - All Inclusive

"Total relaxation paradise!"
We just returned from our stay at Excellence Riviera Cancun. This was our 3rd stay at ERC. The first 2 times we stayed in a swim-up suite, but for this stay we booked the 2-story rooftop terrace suite. Wow! It was amazing. The room itself is spacious enough with the 2 person jacuzzi tub and king size bed, plus the sitting area, and then the balcony (very similar to the swim up suite), but then you go upstairs to your private terrace. The terrace had a large plunge pool (about 3 feet deep, and the size of a 12 person hot tub), a sitting area, sun bed, and a cafe table and 2 chairs. It was perfection. We made sure to visit the spa for a couples massage our first day there, which is the best way for us to really begin a vacation and totally unwind. The spa is really impressive, it is all peace and tranquility from the decor to the scented oils that you can smell (not overpowering) in the air. Every massage includes a 1 hour hydrotherapy session to begin, which is really fun and relaxing. You will not be sorry - go to the spa! We mostly stayed on the lazy river and just gently, quietly paddled around and around. Waiters come by and will bring you drinks, even if you're floating around in the water. It was my husband's birthday while we were there, and completely unprompted, the hotel sent up a small birthday dessert in the afternoon with "Happy Birthday" written in chocolate on the plate. It was such a nice, thoughtful touch!!

"Hotel Cozumel"
We usually stay at El Cid when in Cozumel so we know the hotel, the staff and the dive shop. Unfortunately it was booked solid. The first night of our stay, the power went out and was still off in the morning which meant we had to walk down two fights of stairs with our SCUBA gear to get set for our morning dives. The breakfast was okay as were the lunch and dinner, but every meal was buffet style and nothing special. We went out to eat several times to get a good tasting special meal. None of the staff except for Fausto and Jose in the beach restaurant were very helpful or friendly, But those two made up for the rest of them. Overall we had a nice stay, but I will still choose El Cid next time I go.

"Exquisite view from our balcony"
The hotel was very nice, and I was especially pleased with the staff. They were pleasant and eager to help. My biggest concern was the restaurants. The food in the indoor restaurant was very good, but it was extremely hard to get a reservation without being a member of a "Premium Room". We stood in line from 7 AM to 8 AM ... was the fourth person there, and was told the only availability was either 5 PM or 8 PM!! The other restaurant was a buffet, which was okay, not a lot of variety. Ordering off the menu was good, but you could expect at least a 45-90 minute delay before getting your food. Also I've never been to a hotel that does not supply washcloths and only ONE hand towel. That seemed very strange to me. Bottom line -- If the price was right, I would probably stay there again.

"Amazing caribbean experience"
The Grand Residences is the ultimate in luxury and service. A true gem located between Cancun and Playa Del Carmen. The service was incredible, the beach pristine, as was the pool and our well-appointed room. We had amazing gourmet meals and 24 hour room service. Our concierge took care of organizing any off property activities making everything we did easy and seamless. Our entire family have nothing but rave reviews and cannot wait to come back.

"Comfortable & clean, close to downtown and beach"
One block from the beach. In the downtown shopping strip. Lots of restaurants nearby. Hotel itself has a restaurant downstairs which was great! The guy at the front desk was very nice- we asked him many questions and recommendations and he would give us direct, honest answers! Some things to watch out for: "Continental breakfast" consisted of toast, juice, coffee but you can buy more food off the menu. Rooftop did not have the beach chairs they advertise but it's still nice to go up there. Since the hotel is on the main strip, there is some street noise and you can also hear the restaurant dishes (we were in room 11 which is on the 2nd floor). Noise dies down at around 11:30pm and starts again at about 7am.

    Cozumel All Inclusive Hotel Guide

You plunge into the water and arrive in a different world. Like Alice stepping through the looking glass, you find yourself immersed in a fantastical realm that’s home to creatures you never imagined existed. Schools of psychedelic fish celebrate your arrival by swarming around you, while groupers, nurse sharks and moray eels peer at you from a distance. Blanketing the seafloor beneath them all, a brilliant coral reef bursts with colors you don’t recognize from any box of crayons. To deepen your appreciation for the porous structures, you let gravity and the weight of your breathing apparatus bring you closer to the living rocks. And that’s when you see it, drifting slowly on the seabed, snacking on some greenery sprouting from the sand. Known by locals as a caguama, the loggerhead turtle is known to nest in the area for a few months each year, and that’s why you picked this as the time to visit. Watching the shelled reptile in its natural habitat, you know in your heart that this is the adventure you’ve been waiting for. But the Mayan ruins of Tulum, Coba Mayan, and Chichen Itza on Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula are the biggest draw, and once you’ve experienced them up close, it’s easy to see why so many visitors flock here. Dating back to the dawn of the common era, the pyramid, temples, and citadel of this lost civilization is are spectacles to behold.

Wondering where to book excursions in Cozumel?
