If you're looking for a beach to swim this is the wrong place, Not a place for beach swimming, "Deluxe Room" is a false statement, room was simple with fan not working, fan light cover missing, light on ceiling burnt, sliding balcony door was so hard to open, closet door can barely move, 1 pc. of tissue left when arrived to room, 1 dirty towel, (towel problem solved when I complaint), MOLD in the bathroom, sand on the bath floor, Food portions on restaurants by swimming pool ridiculous small,

Dear Guest Thank you for sharing your views; it is our hope that you will not let such an isolated stay tarnish your perception of our hotel for good, and that you would accord us, at some point in the future, a renewed opportunity to reinstate ourselves in your good faith and show that we are worthy of your kind patronage. I had three different rooms in 24 hours, the last one being the nicest. The first was horrible, the second was run down, and the third was nice only because I was ocean front. This resort is definitely NOT a 4 star resort. I have been to a 4 star resort in Cozumel and it was way better in every way. This resort may be a 2.5-3 star. They really need to do some updating in the rooms and the outside. Food was mediocre, drinks were mediocre. Service at the bar was bad. Lots of times there was only one bar tender, or they closed bars at odd hours. We were served after the locals were served (and it was very obvious) You couldn't rely on anything being the same. One day the tortilla soup was great, the next visit it was watered down and pinkish. My Daughter got sick from the food. Had to have urgent care visit from the doctor, who was great (along with the RN from the hotel) The beach was pretty BUT you can't just walk into it because of the rocks. Unfortunately I wanted to try Sunscape in Curaco but I am afraid I am going to have to pass. I relied on the travelocity reviews before I booked, lesson learned.

Don’t waste your money.

Had a group of 24 people choose this hotel due to the amenities it showed. However upon arrival we learned that almost all of the advertisement used were for the joining hotel “secrets” which was adults only. We had zero acess to the amenities and were told if we were caught in the Secrets side we could be charged 75$ per person a day. However the people at Secrets had full access to our resort. The breakfast food was terrible everyday. The service at the restaurants was poor as well. Sometimes we waited over 30 minutes just to get a drink order. Multiple occasions We would have to go to the bar ourself to get a water. The bartenders were nice but the drinks were very inconsistent. You’d get a weak pina colada and then 30 minutes later you’d get one with some much alcohol it was unbearable. The rooms were not a Hilton room which was expected but many of our people in our group was given the wrong room. Most were give double beds instead of a king. Beds were extremely hard. The rooms advertised were not the rooms given. However the maid service was amazing everyday, the room was always very clean. They were not always on top of refilling the fridge but the bar was a short walk from my room.

Dear charlie We appreciate the time that you have invested in writing an overview of your stay with us. There seems to have been a number of deficiencies encountered which are very atypical and not reflective of our brand experience; if this stay was marred by irregular circumstances, we can only renew our apologies and assure you that we have in the meantime briefed the team at great length of your comments. We are working on a daily basis to exceed our guest’s expectations and would love to have the opportunity to host you again in the near future to offer you a remarkable stay. Not the best week of my life

Pros: Some of the staff were friendly. The location is great.
Cons: It should be shut down.
Location: Cozumel is beautiful and rich in history. We did a wonderful tour to Chichen Itza.
My husband and I spent 7 nights in January 2018 because our friends were going to be there at the same time. I attempted to write a thorough review, but this space isn’t big enough and I am forced to list the problems. The garden view consisted of duct work and the backs of building and a few trees. Our toilet screamed like an air raid siren every time it flushed. Our mini bar was not restocked unless we repeatedly asked for service. One day, it took 19 hours and 8 requests for a Diet Coke. There was a cigarette butt on the staircase to our room the entire time we were there. I found lipstick on my linen napkin and my drinking glass in a restaurant. I don’t use lipstick. My friend was served a drink in a glass with pink residue at the poolside bar. When she pointed it out, the bartender shrugged and said it was probably from a daiquiri. We then watched as dirty plastic glasses were being rinsed quickly before being reused. Our room had two single beds, not the king bed reserved. My little bed was hard and my back ached every morning. I don’t know about my husband’s bed. We didn’t both fit in it. Music at pool was loud and obnoxious, not planned with older people in mind. The lounge chairs were worn and uncomfortable. The swamp cooler didn’t work right. We were repeatedly pressured to buy a vacation club membership. Food awful. We all had “the flu”. I’m out of room and the list goes on. Don’t go to this ugly stepsister to Secrets next door.

Great location

Smaller resort. Excellent location close to water. Snorkeling right off beach. Bring water shoes! Rocky and sharp coral as soon as you get in water. Food was awful for an all inclusive and cheap liquor. 1/2 shot pours in small plastic glassware filled with juice. If you like a good drink make them pour it in front of you and guide them. Beers are ok. Bring your own mug! Rooms were spacious. Ours was 20ft from water 3rd floor ocean front with no elevator so I got my workout in for the week! Avoid $200 resort credit if you follow me scheme. This is timeshare stuff. Just say no. We did and they left us alone. We like to do our own thing and avoided pressure in lobby for tours. You can rent scooters or an older Jeep from roger in front of resort. That was fun.

In Need of Repair and Poor Customer Service

Let me start out by saying that my husband and I have been going to this resort since it was the Wyndham. Through its ups and downs we have come back year after year bringing friends and family and recommending others to come (who have, based on our praises), but this year is the last year. The place is in great need of repair. Besides the stench of sewer in places around the buildings, many other factors had us very disappointed in a resort we once loved. Our shower had water that sprayed out of the plunger that you pull up for the shower, we told front desk to no avail and at one point became so bad that the plunger popped out and water spewed like a geyser, soaking the ceiling and towels on the rack. I couldn't call front desk because the phone did not work. My husband had to try to fix the shower just so we could finish bathing. The front desk was told several times about the shower and phone, and we were always told someone would get right on it, but it never happened. We couldn't call out for a wake up call or taxi, even though the guy at the front desk told us to dial zero to call for taxi...we had told him the phone did not work. Even after contacting Sunscape Sabor Cozumel on Facebook, the person told me that I had to dial zero to dial out. Please tell me what part of phone doesn't work did they not hear? I was contacted today by the Facebook contact only to tell me that they would "verify" with someone from Sunscape. The bar service was poor. Alfredo was very

Basic Resort, Amenities Lacking

The facility was nice and in a decent location if you are wanting to snorkel/dive/deep sea fish. Hotel staff was very pleasant, but non-responsive to requests. It took multiple calls to get water, towels, etc. the waiter staff was inconsistent and had to be chased down. Hotel offered $200 hotel credit incentive at booking, which turned out to be the total benefit of a "coupon" package. ($40 to the spa to use towards buying a $180 massage, $10 to use on a $25 or higher priced bottle of wine, etc). While we would not expect outstanding food at an all inclusive, we were still disappointed by the meals. The same menu was offered every single day, with flavor being very hit and miss. There is no room service for food. The bar staff was friendly, however, they do not offer the option to select top shelf liquor, even if you are willing to pay for it. Pools were nice, grab towels early thou, they run out fast and are not replaced quickly. The hotel offers paddle boards, kayaks and other equip for use and made the borrowing process quite simple. The hotel offers free wifi in the lobby but not the rooms, tv is pay per view. Overall: if you want to spend your time doing sea activities this would be an adequate resort. If you plan to stay on the resort the entire time, the amenities are lacking.

Beach Hotel

Hotel was on the beach, and the beach was beautiful. One the first day we arrived we were swarmed by the VIP membership people, they told us, NOT asked us to show up for their next day presentation, we didn't realize what was going on because they made it sound like it was mandatory meeting that we had to attend. The next day we showed up at 9am and sat through a 4 hour sales presentation, we finally felt comfortable to tell them no after the 4 hours, 4 hours taken from our vacation, that we won't get back. We were given $100 but if we would have known this was a sales presentation up front, we would've told them no so we could continue on with our vacation. The rooms were not worth what we paid for, only 2 star worthy, the tub would back up every time it was in used, we never had consistent hot water while taking our showers and the food was not the best. If I had to rebook another trip, it will certainly not be this hotel.
