We really enjoyed this resort and will definitely return. First the positives: The resort is only a 20 minute ride from the airport, the rooms are amply sized, beds are comfortable, housekeeping service was sufficient, the mini bar is restocked daily and the balcony with the sea view is great! The resort is nicely decorated with plenty of high end dining options and the food was incredible (never ate the same thing twice). The staff is amazing and friendly! We were able to check in early and they took care of every request we made. We liked how convenient the hotel room bracelet is and the app to make dinner reservations, order room service and/or schedule necessary Covid testing is also handy. The wait staff at the pool is very attentive and ready to help. There are plenty of lounge chairs available and loved being able to order munchies and cocktails by the pool! Victor was remarkable and came by to check on us frequently. Cons: This resort is very secluded. There is nothing do within walking distance or close by (in fact, once you turn into the resort entrance off the main street, it is another 10 minute drive down a long driveway through the mangrove before you arrive to the hotel). OK if you plan to stay at the hotel the entire trip or if you arrange tours that offer hotel pick up. If you are wanting a true “beach” vacation, this probably is not the hotel for you. The beach is very narrow and flags were up most days making it impossible to use.

The property was great. Distance to the airport was great and staff was great. Would love more activities and dancing and music . Also later times that things are opened would also be nice .

The staff from the moment you arrive trys really hard to make sure you have a comfortable stay. They are pleasant and helpful. I would come back for the staff.. the beach is lacking quiet a bit. Its rather nasty swim. Its brown water at the shore. And seawees they clean up some wvery morning but its right back.the lools are nice warmlate intw night.

This place is amazing!! Pool absolutely gorgeous. Lots of kids so if you are looking for adults only not the place for you.Our check-in was very smooth we had no wait. The lobby is the hub of the resort absolutely exquisite! I liked the added touches of the Azulida Cafe open all the time from lattes, expresso to fruit, pizza, yogurt parfaits. They would put out numerous assortments of pastries first thing in the morning. Then we discovered lunch sandwiches and dips at lunch everyday. We usually ordered poolside discovered this on a rainy day. At around 5 everyday they put out various meats, cheeses, olives, dips which is a really nice touch with your afternoon cocktails. Our room was amazing it was on the 6th floor overlooking the chill pool and the ocean. Very modern and spacious with a balcony. The food at the restaurants and poolside were excellent. We are at Auma twice the filet and tuna were cooked to perfection. Candelarro at Auma took such great care of us, make sure you ask for his section. He makes you feel very special. Maxal outside patio cor dinner was outstanding they were grilling shrimp and lobster which smelled amazing they brought it to your table for an appetizer. We chose the steak and lamb both were excellent. Breakfast at Vela always a treat make sure you sit outside and ask for Sergio he will remember your drinks and take excellent care of you. Laura took great care of us in the lobby every night with great drinks!!

We loved everything. Everyone was so helpful. The food fabulous. The grandchildren loved kids club. Can't say enough about the entertainment. We are planning on a return visit in the future.

Wonderful food, drinks, everything! Pristine property! Excellent food. I knew it was a brand new property, and they are working hard on getting everything up and running. You will be basically unaware of anything being worked on unless you look for it. Very small gift shop in a guest room, although they were working on the gift shop while we were there. (We peeked in the door) Massage was done in a guest room but I expected that and it didn’t bother me. Pool area was wonderful and lots of food and drink options out there. Taco cart is amazing! The beach is not as nice as other areas I have seen. I’m not sure if it was just the time of year, but lots of seaweed and sand was stirred up in water not making it looks as clear as it was. It looked like it had potential to be beautiful. Room is clean with the most comfortable beds, we slept in every day. Appreciated the daily room service. Staff is wonderful, everyone was always very kind and accommodating. Check in took a while but the lady was in training. We felt very safe and loved that the property was a bit isolated. I do not like the busyness of the downtown. One of the best hotel experiences we have ever had! Beautiful property!

Property is beautiful and clean. Stayed in the swim up suite, which includes your own plunge pool. Very nice, but would recommend a half wall between pools, because there is zero privacy in the back. Food was delicious, especially Auma and Maxal. Great resort for families with small children, but not as much for older, teens to twenties to do. Staff was wonderful. Once everything is complete, I think there will be more options since the hotel is still under construction. Had a massage from Alejandro that was probably the best I’ve ever had.
