Perfect hotel for spring break! Pools and beach were amazing. The one flaw is you can’t keep the hotel room key cards in your wallet or phone because other magnets deactivate them. You also get a bracelet on your wrist you must keep on the entire time or pay $100. Rooms were pretty good for price, food was good lots of options. Shuttles to other RIU hotels for parties were a lot of fun. Walking distance to Cocobongo which was amazing! Definitely a party resort, didn’t see many people over 25 years.

The staff was wonderful, attentive and fun. The hotel is a little dated, and could use an update/renovation, but the food is fabulous, the swim up bar fantastic and again, fabulous staff. The spa was lovely (got a fantastic massage), and was treated to a sweet birthday surprise in my room.

We loved our stay at the RIU Cancun! We felt safe and well looked after during our entire stay at this resort. The food options are INCREDIBLE! Just be sure to get in line early for any of the individual restaurants, as they filled up very quick. The staff was always so pleasant, friendly and accommodating! It was my partners birthday during our stay, and housekeeping left something sweet and exciting in our room that day! That was a special surprise! There are 4 pools, most of which are quite lively and busy, but thankfully there is one that is much quieter and relaxed when you truly need to unwind and relax. We also appreciated being oceanfront, and being able to go down a few steps to the beach whenever we wanted! I would absolutely come back to this resort! The only issue we had was that our key cards were constantly needing to be reset and reactivated, nearly every day of our stay we had to go get them reset. However they remedied this by changing the batteries in our door lock!

Rooms were cleanish, but this resort is super outdated. Beachfront is very small. They cater to the “young Adults”. Meaning 18-21.
