The location of this resort is beautiful. The beach was excellent. The food was good with lots of variety. Unfortunately, we stayed with the Spring Breakers and the noise was loud and obnoxious into the early morning hours. If it wasn't for the commotion of spring break the resort would have been great. We would definitely stay here again, just not during spring break.

I absolutely loved RIU Cancun! The food was amazing as well as the scenery! I’ve been to many countries and many all inclusive resorts but I must say this was my favorite thus far! & Enrique was a great bartender. I believe we drank 3 bottles of tequila in 2 hours, so it’s safe to say that a time was had! Until next time ✌

The resort had nice pools and beach area. There were plenty of bars on the resort as well. The resort was very loud after midnight, had to call security twice for people blasting music and screaming in their room and out on the balcony, after midnight. Also our room on the 15th had an adjoining room door that leaked light from the adjacent room so as long as their lights were on until 3am we had light leaking into our room. Was not a very restful vacation as I did not sleep well.

We loved our stay here! It was such a beautiful experience. The hotel rooms could use some work to it like some things seemed very used and old but outside the rooms it was so clean & up to date but we were barely in our rooms so that didn’t bother us really and I’d recommend to bring a blanket because they only give you a sheet. The food was very good & I loved that they changed it everyday! The staff was AMAZING they made this whole experience unforgettable, they are professional & very hard working! Please tip the people that help you it goes a long way! I loved that they trusted us like family. We are definitely coming back for the people who work there. We also loved the diversity at this hotel! We loved to see different people & got to get to know their stories! Every guest was very kind too! If you like to party then this hotel is for you! They never sleep here & there is always something to do.

The buffet was very disappointing and was nearly the same every day. The open hours were not the best, plus there was limited food available in the late evening. The beds were very stiff and hard. Spa was too high priced and no hottub (the one outdoors was not heated at all) or sauna. The room cleaning staff was exceptional and prompt. Not enough beach chairs. If you didn't get down there by 8AM, no place to sit, so I opted to go to Isla Mujeras instead of spending the day at the resort. While I was there during the day at the pool, there was almost no one bringing food or drink. You had to go to the bar and order and carry food out from the buffet or from the snack bar at the pool.

Overall I would recommend it but let me give you the details so you can decided. The property’s main lobby was well kept and the bar service in the evening was amazing. The entertainment during the day at the pool was fun and engaging and the food at the pool was okay. Suggestion to the staff, clean the glass that separates the pool from the ocean on a daily basis and paint the rusted metal. It takes away from the ambiance, it’s an eye sore. The rooms and hallways need some love and attention. They do not look like the photos. Very bland and old looking. Chipped paint and dirty windows. Clean all the windows everywhere, expeditiously. I requested a king bed and received 2 twins pushed together, that weren’t even the same height. We had to sleep apart to keep from falling in between. Also the room was suppose to be an ocean view, however there was a 8 foot ledge that obscured the view. Outside of needing some paint and a good cleaning we had a really good time. The beach was beautiful and the water was lovely. Staff was friendly and attentive. The free parties at the RIU Caribe, is a really nice touch and Cocobong is walking distance. Actually there’s plenty that’s walking distance. Get to the pool early or there won’t be any seating. Folks start putting down towels at 7:00am. Also the buffet is always self seating so just go find a table. The ones to the right by the ocean are nice and there’s a net to keep the birds away. Hope this helps :)
