Seriously the quality of food was bad . The steak house for example the rib eye steak was horrible . Thin and couldn’t even tell what it was ! It was the worst cut . Breakfast buffet was great but the rest nope . The Japanese restaurant the tuna steak was food poisoning to my mother. Not cooked right or stayed out too long !!

Decent property for the price but would be more appropriate at $200/night. Lobby was nice and modern, rooms have heavy wear. Bed was mediocre. Not a great hotel if you have a fear of heights: glass elevator, hallways have floor to ceiling windows overlookong the bay. Mini bar did have full size bottles of liquor so a major plus. RIU has an app that allows you to order maid service items and mini bar restocks without having to talk to a person, major plus for social anxiety. You can also preview the menus at restaurants (not buffet) on the app as well. The buffet made it easy to make healthy, low carb, or keto choices. Variety was great and many items were rotated daily. Restaurants were less than flexible. Menu is very set and food isnt really made to order. No customization on food there and very small menus at each. All of the food we ate was wonderful. Drinks were strong but bartenders were rarely willing to make anything other than what was in the preset cocktail menu. All were heavy on sugar and it was difficult to get drinks for my keto diet. No poolside servers made it necessary to walk all the way to the bar for each drink, less than ideal. Pool side taco bar was nice and food was good but same everyday. Beach is nice and clean but small and non existent during high tide. 4 pools but no hot tub. Overall not bad. Did not meet our fundamental needs but could be a great deal if your needs are different and you can get a great price.
