What stood out for me was that they seemed very glad that we were there, even though they were very busy and they were able to treat us like individuals. One of the concierge staff walked us to our room the first day and went over the map of the property and the ways to find things and make sure we had reservations for some special dinners And show of Caribbean music. There was children’s karaoke one night in the bar before the adults started their evening at it was amazing; I thought the property was very welcoming to families, and there were lots of things for kids to do throughout the place.

The room was very clean and they kept it stocked with the bottled water and beverages that we requested. The housekeeper was available and very friendly and made sure that she asked about any special instructions each day. The food was remarkable, especially the Thanksgiving day buffet, which really surprise me with how good it was. Everyone in the staff was friendly and went out of their way to make sure that we had everything we needed and had a wonderful time.

This was our first trip out to Cancun as a family of 6 to celebrate my 50th birthday. A total of 14 people were in our group (3 separate reservations). All guests with the exception of our family were moved to another room to accommodate some sort of time share guest in the middle of our 5 night stay. The initial room had a beautiful view of the beach and amenities were on point. On our day (Saturday) we were moved and we had already made plans for an all day excursion. Upon arrival to our room, I noticed the master bedroom had an imperfection with the mattress. Half the mattress literally was sinking. The staff was called and they confirmed the findings. They noted it but did not offer to move us. At this point, my family was not ok with moving to another room for a second time. Outside of this challenge, the staff was friendly and courteous. Resort was clean and staff was working around the clock to keep the premises up to par. Most of the staff was deserving of gratuity, although some would smirk when not tipped. We definitely will be returning to Cancun but will be looking at other resort options.

The rooms and the whole resort are kept spotless. We’ve stayed here before, with and without kids. The pool decks are quiet in the evenings. We enjoy karaoke and they have it a few times a week at their Sidelines Bar. They reserve time for kids to sing too. Good location on the strip. Now for the bad: they no longer change American money for pesos. They take your room card at the restaurants and on the pool decks and hold them until you sign a bill. The servers seemed stretched thin so we were left waiting a number of times for the bill. Which is a $0 bill of course. And our husbands forgot their cards a number of times. Very aggravating.

The Royal Sands Resort in Cancun boasts one of the cleanest, most beautiful beaches I’ve seen — soft, spotless sand and a stunning ocean view that make it perfect for relaxation. The room layout is ideal for families of four, offering a comfortable, well-maintained space with good separation between the main bedroom and living area. However, our room was next to a malfunctioning service elevator that constantly moved between floors, which became quite disruptive. Dining options were limited — you’ll find something to eat, but the variety and themed experiences common at other all-inclusive resorts were lacking. The kids club staff were friendly, and my children had fun, though activities were basic and didn’t include visits to the aqua park or outdoor play areas, which was disappointing. You’ll also need reservations to attend shows, an unnecessary inconvenience for a family resort. Additionally, the resort still uses physical cards for room keys and towels instead of modern wristbands or digital systems. Finally, keep in mind that this is a timeshare property, so there’s some sales pressure and fewer spontaneous activities than you’d find at a traditional vacation resort. Overall, the beach and cleanliness are truly exceptional, but dining, entertainment, and modernization could be improved.

Nos gustó mucho el hotel, en el área de la alberca y la playa a los meseros les falta mucho, el único que atendió bien fue Moisés, mis respetos para el :) La concierge que nos atendió al principio muy grosera cuando le dije que no estaba interesada en tener la plática para la posible venta del tiempo compartido, no nos dio room tour y en general no nos explicó bien las cosas. Overall todo bien solo si recomendaría que les den unas clases de servicio al cliente a sus empleados
