Pool was great. The infinity pool that is just 30 seconds to the ocean is the most amazing part of this entire property. If you prioritize a great pool than LIVE Aqua is worth it. Beach, food and staff all were average. The actual restaurants though were way nicer than you average AI resort. They all had their own unique vibe and felt special not low budget in the least. The rooms with a veranda were the best we’ve ever experienced. Modern, spacious and amazingly never humid and wet inside.Weve been to many AI’s and LIVE Aqua gets a solid A over-all.

Some staff where great and super attentive, others were just neutral. No lunch or dinner buffet at this resort which is a disappointment at this price point, and breakfast buffet was inferior to some lesser resorts. The drinks are too watered down and not any better from some more average resorts, again at this price point I expected more quality drinks. The smoothie bar (served by Marco) was amazing, all fresh veggies and fruit freshlyade to your liking. The decor and restaurant ambiances were fantastic, like real reaturants instead of cookie cutter all inclusive restaurants, but the food being a hit and miss with some amazing and a few very underwhelming ones. Property is at a Prime beach location in Cancun with some of the best pools. If you care beautiful wavy ocean. Compared to the murky and calmer waters in resorts more distant from the main hotel zone area. Activities less than other resorts. Steakhouse resutrant was paid, which just robs from the all inclusive vibe and experience you want to get when you book an all inclusive.

The Hotel is located right on the beach and only 20 minutes from the airport . I recommend booking a cabana if you want to sit on the beach or around the pool, it’s much more comfortable and relaxing, costs about 83$ and comes with a foot massage for 20 minutes. The Hotel is very nice and comfortable, the staff are attentive on the whole…… Food was very good but you cannot reserve a table and have to line up and then wait up to 2 hours for a table. Unless you have a “butler” which we didn’t have. The room was excellent, comfortable bed and a nice terrace . Negatives I was completely ignored at breakfast , no waiter turned up to my table and I had to get my own coffee/ cutlery / etc. The waiters were fussing around the table next to me who were managers of the Hotel . Not a massive problem, but irritating and not what I expect from a five star hotel. I complained to the manager who said he would make me happy before the end of the stay. Just words no effort to actually do anything. They ran out of drinking straws- ridiculous at any hotel. One thing that I really don’t like… they had vendors set up on a couple of evenings who do the usual thing of accosting customers. LEAVE me alone I don’t want to buy your stuff!!!!! Maybe I’m painting a negative picture but for the money we paid I do expect the highest standards. Having said all that , overall a great experience and would come again . Oh BTW use the room service , the food was excellent.

We liked the layout of the property inside & out. Unfortunately the property seemed under staffed so service was very hit & miss. It was very hard to get into any of the dinner restaurants. They advised at check in that you cannot make reservations, it is first come first serve, however they were always booked up with reservations. Upon speaking to other guests we learned that you have to book a suite with a butler to get dinner reservations. We wished we had known this prior to booking or were at least advised at check in. Luisa & Miguel servicing the pool guests were outstanding and the best part of our stay.

A couple of the restaurants at the resort had food that was discusting and unedible. We heard they were having some issues with Chefs so it may be temporary.

This hotel, I would not recommend it to anyone. It’s really old and dirty, mold and sewer smell throughout the hotel. I just personally think this hotel should not be recommended to anyone. It’s extremely old and dirty and very outdated.
