The resort itself is gorgeous, with lovely surroundings and well-kept facilities, but unfortunately the service really let the experience down. Staff often seemed overwhelmed or uninterested, and several requests took far longer than they should have—or were forgotten entirely. Communication felt disorganized, and the level of attentiveness didn’t match what you’d expect from a resort at this price. It’s a shame, because the property has a lot of potential. With better training and more consistent customer service, it could be a fantastic stay. Until then, it’s hard to fully recommend unless you value the location far more than the service.

The property was very clean. Our room was beautiful l, clean and equipped with all necessities. Staff was very attentive, nice and professional. Great customer service in all dining areas and bars. Drinks were good and made with top shelf liquor. The property was safe as there were multiple security points prior to getting onto the property. Since I booked with Expedia I was assigned a personal assistant whom was very attentive and helpful throughout my stay. There were many dining areas and options as well as bars. I would definitely return and recommend. Perfect for a family vacation.

I had an amazing experience at AVA Cancun! The food was absolutely delicious with a wide variety of options, and every meal exceeded my expectations. The service was also excellent, Jonathan provided attentive and friendly service. A special thanks to Rodrigo, my personal assistant, who went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. He was incredibly helpful in arranging a late checkout for me since my flight wasn’t until 7pm, which made my last day so much more comfortable and stress-free. Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Wonderful food, great service, and outstanding staff who truly care about their guests. Highly recommend AVA Cancun!

The property itself was very beautiful, we had an amazing time. The only issue that arose was when it comes to booking the restaurant, they tried to say that they are fully book out. Which made no sense but my partner had to step in and that’s when a manager take care of that. Amazing staff, especially the entertainment staff by the pool. Thanks

Our time at lava Cancun was great. We had some hiccups with the cleanliness of our room at the beginning but once we made mention of this, the public relations team swooped in and got it remedied immediately and were extremely accommodating. I can tell this was not the norm and totally appreciated their service. They also gave us two massages and a personal concierge to assist with dinner reservations or anything we needed. The staff’s customer service is 10/10. Everyone was always willing to help and that made the best impression. The food was okay , I really enjoyed chez moi and boa. Room service is amazing and came in clutch daily. The one negative that I wish I researched prior and came at another time was the seaweed. It is all over the Caribbean and this is the high season. It made the beach unapproachable and the smell was really bad. Outside of that, our family really enjoyed our stay. Special shout out to our concierge Samayra Gaona and the chefs at chez moi -Jesus canto and Angel Jimenez. They were fantastic!

This place was absolutely amazing. All the videos and pictures did them justice. It’s just so much better in person. The food was amazing. The drinks were always coming. And the staff was very helpful. Always asking you at least three times a day if you need anything through call or text. The room was always cleaned every time we came back from anywhere. And there was always something to do there so you’ll never have a dull time. 10 out of 10 will definitely go again!

For a new resort, the level of cleanliness was shocking. Our room had mold in the shower and the AC barely worked, making it uncomfortable. A portion of the resort seems abandoned, with unfinished ceilings and a strong mold odor in those areas. If you don’t have a reservation, you won’t get dinner—even though this wasn’t clearly communicated beforehand. All the meat dishes taste overwhelmingly like propane, as if drenched in it, making them nearly inedible. The buffet food was undercooked and cold, which raises serious safety concerns. The staff speaks very minimal English, so we constantly had to rely on Google Translate, which made even basic communication difficult. I’ve stayed at over 10 resorts in Cancun, and this was by far the worst. Overall rating: 1/10. Do yourself a favor and book elsewhere.

Loved everything about this place evening theaters, who shows were amazing food was amazing. Drinks was amazing. Top shelf liquor beds were comfortable rooms were nice and clean. The whole thing the building is very clean, lots of people serving on you. Good, very, very good service. We also enjoyed all the little Starbucks shops. Lots of snacks, frappuccinos, lattes, cappuccinos, anything you can think of if this was where it's got it. All the kids club was amazing. Lots of activities for them to do the activities in the big pool, kayaking, right? Paddleboarding, the floating.everything was amazing. Yeah.

Our family just came back from Ava Resort the food was really good and the staff were friendly. The beach isn’t as beautiful as in the Hotel Zone, but the color is better than the beaches at resorts outside the hotel zone. The front part of the water looks like a typical beach color, but further back you can see a hint of mint, similar to the Hotel Zone, so the view isn’t bad at all. We were having a pleasant time there. Since there were quite a few negative reviews, I was a bit doubtful at first, but overall, I’m satisfied. The only downside is that the seaweed smell isn’t very pleasant. Other than that, we are happy with our stay. ✨none of my family has had any issues like food poisoning or stomach problems. Some negative Google reviews mentioned that the rooms weren’t cleaned on time, but in our case, housekeeping has come twice a day without fail. They even call from time to time to check if we need anything. Everyone here is so genuine and kind, which has made our trip really pleasant. At Chez Moi, our server Jesus was really nice, and our concierge Diego took such great care of us that we felt comfortable and happy throughout our stay.
