Stayed at AVA for 6 nights with my family, we just got back, and this is how our experience was. We have been to Mexico so many times and stayed at different resorts everytime. AVA toped all of them and that's the honest truth. From the moment we arrived the warm welcome, and check in process, and accommodating some of our requests, made us feel we made the right choice booking at AVA. The resort is beautiful, and all the rooms are ocean view. Never do u have to look for chairs by the pool, there is plenty, and you dont have to worry about towels either. Everyone is very nice and they do everything they can to make your stay joyful. The restaurants are amazing from service to the actual food. Even the food selection at the buffet is amazing. I have special shout out to the following who truly made an impact on our stay. Angel liborio He was our Bell Man, he was amazing by giving us tips on the hotel and helped us with everything we needed. Leonardo and Roger The bartenders at the bar next to the Black Iron Those guys give you entertainment while making you the best drinks . Alex, Alex, and Carmen who are in charge of the water activities. Not only they would remember you and your names but they make sure to get to know you on a personal level which made even our kids very comfortable and enjoyed the activities. Overall I highly recommend AVA Resorts and I would definitely book it again.

I was genuinely excited to stay at what was advertised as a 5-star, brand-new resort. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing from the moment we arrived. The resort is still under construction, and even the areas that are supposedly completed are already showing serious wear and tear. The construction quality is clearly cheap — things are falling apart before the resort is even fully open. Our room was clean and housekeeping did a great job, but the rooms already have visible dents, dings, and signs of poor maintenance. The hallways smelled awful, likely due to the carpet absorbing moisture from the nearby pools. It had a strong, moldy odor that was hard to ignore. The restaurant experience was equally underwhelming. The reservation process is a hassle — you basically need to book before you even arrive because day-of availability is non-existent. The steakhouse was mediocre, the French restaurant was so bad I left hungry (the shrimp cocktail smelled off, oysters were unavailable, and the remaining options were disappointing). The Italian restaurant was the best — mostly thanks to our excellent waiter. The Mediterranean spot had decent appetizers, but the main dishes were terrible. As for the pools — they were not well-maintained. Lounge chairs were constantly dirty, often covered in bird droppings, and staff around the pool were not attentive. The food offered poolside tasted like it came straight from a microwave. I will not book Ava ever again

The entire resort had a luxurious atmosphere, and the nightly theater shows were different every day, which made each evening exciting and fun. The food quality at the restaurants exceeded my expectations—especially the Mexican restaurant and the steakhouse, which were both outstanding. Most of all, the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the whole stay even more comfortable and enjoyable.

Happy Campers!

First time on a all inclusive resort. AVA did not disappoint. Very clean, staff are hospitable, food was the main thing for me. 17 restaurants to choose from. Food district buffet style was food. They have a mixture of everything not only american food. A lot of activities for the kids. All day ice cream say less. Very satisfied.

I would like to start by saying that our expectations for the property were not met. While this stunning resort is beautiful, it is still under construction. My family stayed in a lovely suite for six nights, but maintenance was only performed once. I did not put up the "Do Not Disturb" sign because I prefer my rooms to be cleaned, especially with five little ones. I called several times to request cleaning services, but I felt misled when I was told someone would be sent. The employee who checked us in, a woman named Jasael, had a poor attitude. During our five-day stay, my family witnessed two employees arguing—one incident occurred by the pool and another in the buffet area. Both altercations involved inappropriate insults. Although the food was beautifully presented, it lacked flavor. Another family we traveled with became very ill after dining at the hibachi restaurant. In summary, while the resort is beautiful, it needs better management and oversight of its staff.
