This is my familie's 7th or 8th time staying at the Allegro over the years. We had a little bit of an issue at check in, but the manager, Pedro, and Aileen, the hospitality queen, helped us get our problem fixed and were very accommodating and friendly. The grounds are wonderful and the staff at the restaurants, bars, and leading all of the activities are so friendly. We all had a wonderful time and we are already ready to return!

I booked this 2 adjoining rooms at this resort for my mother, myself and my two teenage daughters. The rooms were adequate, nothing fancy. The A/C worked but didn’t cool appropriately. My curtain had blood on it when I arrived and remained until I left. Housekeeping did an adequate job. The mini fridge had a few beers and sodas that were never cold but did get restocked. There were gaps above and below the doors so I am assuming that’s how the array of bugs got in. I would recommend making reservations at the available restaurants. The oriental and Mexican food was excellent. The buffet was gross- one morning there was a frog on the jello. The food wasn’t hot or cold- just tepid- because it is so terribly hot in the dining area. The staff that was preparing food to order were pouring sweat, often wiping their sweat with towels then wiping the counters with the same towels. We ate at Alberto’s (a restaurant approximately 1 mile away) a few times because we couldn’t stomach the buffet. Beware of the coatis(Mexican Racoon) that live on the property,6-8 of them hung around our room. The discoteka was extremely loud at night making it difficult to sleep. I would recommend a room closer to the beach. The swim up bar was closed. Bring your own washcloths if you like them as they don’t provide them. The grounds and pools were amazing as was the beach area. These were kept clean and tidy. During our stay we felt safe during the day and night.

When you read this you will probably think I am a hard person to please, but really I am very easy going . When booking I did not expect a palace.There are only 2 things that were satisfactory about this property. The staff and the pools were good.However, the facility is very run down. I paid for a superior premium room on the ground floor with 2 beds. At first they assigned me an upper floor room with one bed and the toilet was broken. I had to really complain to get my room changed. My second room had problems with the AC. It would not get cooler than 75 to 77 degrees during the day. The sealing leaked very bad from the ac drainage pipe being clogged. The room was always so hot and humid that my clothes was always damp. When we complained they fixed the leak, but the AC still did not work properly for the entire stay. It was miserable. The buffet dining room was also very hot and humid. Food was satisfactory. My daughter also had problems with her room.When we booked our vacation we tried to book reservations in the specialty dining rooms. We had problems getting reservations. We really had to put up a fuss to get anything done. It wasn’t until the last 2 nights that we were able to get booked in the Italian , but were denied access to the Asian. However they did bring us the Asian food in the hot buffet room to try to make up for it. I will only rate this stay a 1 or maybe a 2 because the pools were ok and the workers were friendly, but management could be a lot better.

We were very disappointed to read your experience during your stay in our hotel, whilst an apology will regrettably not alter the outcome of your experience, please believe we do extend it with all sincerity.

Nothing went right!!! We had a total of 3 rooms. My mother was issued a lesser value room than paid for and it took complaining twice for resolution. The second rooms ac consecutively leaked water for 2 days until the leak was too bad. Once they finally fixed the leak the ac went out and remained broken for a day and a half. One of the headboards was on the ground and multiple holes on the wall were exposed. The two headboards were wrapped in stain sheets unlike the other two rooms which had pleather head boards. The toilet in one room broke twice and yet still had issues flushing once they "fixed" it two separate times. All three were surfaced clean but corners of floors and counters were not cleaned. All three rooms were not issued wash cloths. The coolers in all three rooms did not cool drinks. The coolers that contained the mini bar had 4 beers. Food in the "premier" area was ice cold and stale. We were guaranteed one dinner reservation per three nights stay. Upon arrival on a thursday, we were told that the restaurants were fully booked and couldnt return until monday to "try" to schedule reservations. Well, come monday, we could only schedule one reservation. Meanwhile there was only one other place to eat, the main buffet area. Food was decent, but the room was hotter than being outside. Every meal, All 7 of us, would sweat the entire meal...it was AWFUL!!!! The swim up bar and eating area was CLOSED the entire stay. The childrens water park was at fifty percent. I nee
