Transportation from PVR
Situated north of the City Center, the airport is just a few minutes' drive away to the City Center so staying in one of the hotels close to Licenciado Gustavo Diaz Ordaz International makes perfect sense if you want convenience. Puerto Vallarta flights' passengers can get to town through taxis or combi minivans. You can pay for your tickets for any of these services at a small kiosk located near the exit of the airport terminal building. If you're a hard line backpacker on a budget, you can walk approximately 150 yards away from the airport to the pedestrian bridge and cross to the other side to flag down a taxi or get on a local bus that will take you to Downtown Vallarta. Once you're in Downtown area, you can spend the rest of the day checking out the Main Square, Municipal Market, art stores, museums, or you can spend it strolling down its popular malecon.
