We recently stayed at Grand Park Royal Puerto Vallarta, and overall, it was a very average experience that did not justify the price we paid. The staff was generally kind and tried to be helpful, but many of them struggled with English. That being said, we were able to communicate one way or another, so it was manageable. The international buffet was very disappointing — the food lacked flavor and variety. In contrast, the Italian and Mexican à la carte restaurants were actually quite good and offered much better dining experiences. The Equinox bar upstairs was also a nice spot. Our room was clean, which we appreciated. However, room service through the app was unreliable — on some occasions, our orders were forgotten completely. The worst part of the stay was definitely the Wi-Fi. It didn’t work in the room at all for the majority of our stay, which was a big problem for me as I needed stable internet for work. I reported this issue several times, but no real solution was offered. The Wi-Fi only started working properly on our last day, possibly due to some maintenance, but by then the damage was already done. For the price of around 320 CAD per night, this resort is not worth it. If you find a deal for around 200–250 CAD, it might be acceptable, but I personally wouldn’t return. I honestly wish we had chosen a different hotel — I left feeling quite disappointed.

A lot limitations, they do not answer the phone when you need something from your hotel room, they are not very social. In the menu suppously you can order anything from the menu, which is not true. Not a good taste on the foods. They are awkful... Really do not go there. My boyfriend and me went and we decided to go to eat really good food away from hotel. REALLY AWKFUL EXPERIENCE. PLEASE DO NOT GO THERE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. The ONLY thing we lovedfrim hotel was the beautiful view from your room and the bed is confortable.

It was over booked, there were people everywhere super noisy, and dirty. They were screaming all day with recreation for kids. The pool floor is coming off and broken everywhere, the facilities are not well taken care of, and the pictures in Expedia are not accurate at all. When I got there I tried to cancel but they wouldn’t let me cancel and had to stay. We had to call to ask them to clean our room, the area around the pool was disgusting always dirty and the place is literally falling apart. They don’t clean near the beach so you could literally find kids diapers on the sand. They were 3 people that had exceptional costumer service, the only positive about the hotel. Cassandra in the coffee section, Sergio in the beach and Alfredo in the restaurant. They deserve a raise because of their amazing work and service. Avoid this hotel if you want a relaxing stay. It’s crowded with screaming kids, probably more kids than adults.

My partner and I just spent 6 days at this resort. It was beautiful!!! We walked in to the lobby, and gasped at the immediate ocean view. The staff were extremely friendly, and the buffet server we had (we had the same one everyday.. Alfredo) remembered our drink orders and the table we loved to sit at. There was amazing entertainment most nights, a beautiful swim up bar, and great Pina Coladas. Our only complaint was, the Italian restaurant gave my partner food poisoning, and room service never answered the phone. We had to go down to the lobby to order for after hours. The hotel dr came to our room promptly after the food poisoning, and we very helpful with her sickness. We will definitely be back, and with our kids next time. It looked like they had a lot of activities for kids.
