Max the that runs the bell staff is amazing, and many others that work there are awesome. The property and staff are very poorly managed. We was there for 9 days, and in that time the elevators was never fixed. Two of our children got stuck in the elevator for over 30 minutes each time. They would put an out of order sign on the elevator for 30 min to an hour, and then take it off, but no one ever worked on it. When we approached the management the first thing that was said was "what do you want us to do about the elevators? We cant help it if it quits working while somone is in it!". They could care less that one child was 10 and the other 12yrs old, with no air-conditioning in there. We literally had problems at every eating establishment at least on time on our stay. The Italian restaurant the youngest a child can be is 12yrs old (which is fine). But we made reservations amd still had to stand outside for over 30 minutes while they verified that our child was actually 12yrs old. Then after verification was made, they told us we missed our reservation, and would have to wait another 30 to 40 minutes for an open table (and there was at least 4 open tables that we could see). They told us they were for guests with reservations! Hahaha, it was crazy!!! Anybody reading this, just know that for the same amount of money, you can stay at a nicer place, in town, and with things to do (paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing, etc.), which this place is VERY limited

This was our first stay at the Park Royal and it was very nice. Staff was super friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were having a great time. Miguel and Jonathan at the pool were amazing, always made sure we had fresh drinks! Fernando at the buffet was great, Jorge with the sports and entertainment staff was sooo fun! My teenage daughter and I did water aerobics with him while we were there! He has the BEST energy!! The nightly entertainment was nice, my kids especially enjoyed the fire show and the International show (dance). The beach at this resort is spectacular! The water is clear and the sand is pristine. The view from our room balcony was great. The buffet food was “okay”. We did enjoy the seafood and Mexican restaurant. My oldest daughter and husband visited the Italian restaurant and had a good review. (It is only for children 12 and up). Room service was nice, but limited to once per day, which we didn’t kind. Our room mini bar was restocked daily. I did hear people talking about how some of the staff speak very little English. It’s true, but we’re in Mexico….not sure what you’re expecting. I would recommend to book your Covid test (if you need one for traveling back to the US) on check in as the list gets full. They were able to squeeze us in thankfully. Two tests are included and extra persons are $30. We will return here, the staff are warm and friendly. And the beach…I cannot say enough good things about it!

Just spent 7 days at all inclusive luxury resort Grand Park Royal in Puerto Vallarta. False advertising. This is not a luxury resort. Deluxe suite was just 2 basic rooms with a shared corridor with no lights. Got cleaned 3 times during 7 day stay. Front desk ignored requests until I went down personally to complain. Drinks were very watered down, no healthy options at snack bar (even the junk food they had was poor quality). Several hours during the day where there was no open restaurant to eat at. The pools had clumps of hair floating in them. The spa and the gym were closed, no mention of this on any websites. The room service options were more than limited. No menus laminated or on line available. One of my basic rooms claiming to be a suite had no power for 2 days and the other had no hot water. We stepped on glass the first night and found a partially eaten lolly pop under the bed. First room service delivery was burned coffee and past ripened fruit. The second was all wrong. Gave up after that and left the resort several times to get a decent meal. The staff was rude 70 percent of the time with the exception of Miguel the bartender at the pool bar. The mini mart was closed every time I tried to go buy something and had to walk to the next resort to find what I needed. And the kicker was that in the entire hotel, I couldn’t get a simple guacamole. They don’t offer guacamole. A Mexican resort in Mexico and they don’t offer guacamole and tostadas as an option. Terrible.

Loved the location of the resort and the beauty of the resort. Rooms were amazing. The view was amazing. Only drawback was the sun was blocked by the building most of the day.

I would give this resort a 3.5-4 star rating. It was in a wonderful location (it was located a way from the city which was ok by us!), it was clean and there was always staff around cleaning. The staff was friendly and helpful and the lobby bar which was run by Fernando and Marisol was the BEST!! The only things that we would change are 1. Selection of food. They had quite a few places to eat but didn’t change out their menus on their buffetts. 2. The beach. It was very pretty..had the blue water and white sand but it was too rough. My kids maybe swam and I mean like at the waters edge before the surf came rolling in twice, and we were there for 8 days! We always felt safe, nothing ever went missing, we never had to use the safe and we felt safe taking taxi’s into the city and walking around at night even. We will definitely be going back, and would more than likely stay here again.
