My stay at Hyatt Ziva was absolutely fantastic! From the moment I arrived, the staff/front desk was incredibly friendly,helpful and welcoming. My room was beautifully decorated and spacious and had a comfortable bed/great ocean view. I particularly enjoyed the delicious breakfast, the refreshing pool, the quiet atmosphere, the convenient location.

The outside the landscape was beautiful and clean. The beach was awesome and secluded. There are turtle hatchlings on the property. Miguel recorded them for me. The staff was friendly and helpful and hardworking. Our room had outdated decor and the TV was not a smart where I could not watch Netflix. In the restaurants the service was poor due to low staff. The staff worked very hard under those conditions. There was only 1 elevator in our tower which took forever and it was packed with people checking out with luggage. The coffee shop was awesome along with the Highlights bar. The drinks were excellent there and the wings. The pools were great but the drinks at the pool bar were bad. The drinks at the beach bar were better. The front lobby staff were excellent! The night shows were also good.

Definitely returning. The staff went above and beyond. Food was fresh and good. They need to fix the elevator in one of the buildings so that there is two working at all times, but other than that, no complaints. The beach is beautiful and did not need water shoes at all. Sure, the ocean is not calm as in the Caribbean side, but it is still nice to get in once you time the waves to get through. Spectacular sunsets and yummy drinks.

The property location was great but the facility was run down and needed many areas to be fixed and updated. The activities for adults was limited. The food was good but there were too many flies in most of the restaurants. My boys enjoyed the kids club. I certainly did not like the hotel having someone traitor sell you a membership.

We stayed 5 nights. The rooms were clean and we enjoyed our spacious room. This hotel has several great restaurants and the buffet had lots options. The beach is private and I felt very safe staying at the Hyatt Ziva. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I used the SPA services and I was so impressed with the amenities and the staff. Will definitely go back to this hotel again.

The warm hospitality of Hyatt Ziva and the service and efficiency of the staff was absolutely amazing. Security system at the gate for both incoming and outgoing made us feel very secure in the property. Entertainment was wonderful, activities plenty and always something for everyone all day! A small, low key resort but definitely well run and managed with staff always doing what they are tasked to do including continuing maintenance of the property and all day attention to the guests! Our very spacious ocean view room with a tub in the balcony was great, and the food in all the restaurants was excellent. There was only one thing that turned us off. The presentation by Playa staff selling their vacation packages. Upon check in we may have misunderstood the intent, thinking it was a welcome breakfast and an introduction to the features of Hyatt Ziva. I don’t think it’s a good idea to “sell” it this way. It’s a turn off. We had to sit through over an hour of “sales talk” and were very delayed for breakfast due to this. It needs to be clear from the start that it is a sales presentation. Othet than that our 6-night all inclusive vacation at Hyatt Ziva was excellent. We will return and we highly recommend it for those looking for a low key, quiet but fun-filled vacation!
