The place is not bad, we were there to have fun and its exactly what we got. It’s a party hotel. It’s in the middle of everything walking distance to restaurant and the beach. The bad part is the internet service, for the most part most rooms do not have service. Elevator kinda sucks. And you don’t have phones in your room.

I don't even know where to begin!! When I arrived for Check In I had been downgraded from a Junior Suite to a Standard Room/Partial Ocean View Room (I had to pay extra just for a Standard Room/Ocean View). The room was FILTHY and REEKED of mildew! Greasy stains all over the wall above the bed from "lube!, both lamp shades hanging to the side that never did attach, holes in the curtains with mildew on the bottom. The floor was extremely gritty (I had to wipe my feet every time I got into bed). Amenities: a tray with 2 mugs and a coffee maker but NO coffee, creamer, napkins, nothing; a little bottle of shampoo and 1 soap; 2 pillows on king size bed (I asked for another, 2 days later I got half a pillow, "it's all we have"); no hangers ("we don't have any," the next day I got a handful of random plastic/metal ones); NO WiFi! The AC unit was caked with dirt, dust on everything, and bird feces covered the balcony. Security? a regular house doorknob with twist lock and a slide change barely attached, 2 slide locks on balcony door that didn't fit. The pool was filled with debris and the cold "hot tub" had broken off tiles lining the bottom and had never been grouted. This was absolutely the most disgusting hotel I've ever stayed and I have traveled extensively!!

The staff was kind and did what they could but were limited. After a long flight...no AC fixed three times, after the third it spit ice out while I was sleeping. No towels n the room, no coffee pot, no tv until I complained. Moved to another room, it was better, but such a waste of my vacation time. They knew my AC was not working, and they knew I had no working TV, as the front desk said they were switching carriers and not all rooms had cable boxes. They have limited safe deposit boxes, so I waited 3 days. This is a great location, could be a great place but their emphasis is not on the product. Unfortunately, if they continue managing this venue this way, it will not succeed. I could never recommend this hotel, nor would I. Travelocity needs to look at who they rep come d, ecause im not using them again either.

NO Hot water! There was construction right up against our wall that would start at 7am on the dot, impossible to sleep through. We asked to change rooms because of it and they said they couldn't. No trashcan or washcloths in the room, we asked twice and never got either so we had to put our garbage on the floor. We switched hotels halfway through and the front desk told us we would not be charged for the other two, but then they charged us later.

Very disappointing.

Pros: Only positive is the location to the beach.
Cons: This place could use a complete overhaul at once. Not piece by piece.
Trust the reviews! I should have known better. On my arrival my room was given away, they had overbooked that day. I was placed in another hotel for two nights. I was not able to go on the wet and wild because I had to move my bags from the first place back to blue chairs. The sheets and towels had stains. Luckily my a/c and water worked, but the sink has this HUGE conch looking decor that does not allow you to place items or even get your hands under the nozzle to wash hands or face. They remodeled some areas, but would not be surprised if something was to fall apart altogether. The place is always under constant remodeling. My whole stay they were replacing a marble step 20 feet from my door. Constant hammering from morning until about 4 p.m. I am not kidding when I say that I wouldn't be surprised if a whole floor was to collapse.

What can I say, You get what you pay for

I really can not complain too much considering the price we paid per night. Some of the Negatives: *No hot water *Could not access the WiFi from our room *No phone in the room to call the front desk *The air conditioner did not work *The lock on the sliding doors was loose and easily opened with a stick from the outside (Yes we tried opening it from the outside with a stick) *The lock on the front door popped open a few times when we closed the door, thus leaving the door unlocked when we left *The front desk boy (Lucas) had a lot of attitude and spent most of the time in our neighbors room on his bed and not at the front desk *The elevator broke and they had to cut a hole in the wall to get the people out of the shaft Some of the Positive: Great location On the Beach Friendly bar staff Roof top space with Go Go boys and entertainment Cheap room in PV Would I stay there again? I would need to be at a high level of tippsy constantly if I were to stay there again.

10 days Trip

Pros: Staff were very gracious and they tried to improve upon our stay when asked; there was always hot water, comfy bed, great a/c, nice view, good price.
Cons: No hangers or hair dryer; some ceiling lights dead, elevator/balcony UNSAFE, windows warped, bed moldy smell, unfinished repairs, bath sink too high.
Location: Wonderful walk to many great eateries and shopping. The BEST SEA FOOD! most taxis about $2.50/trip, food prices 5x cheaper, security/police everywhere
The POSITIVE: We were there 10 days. Hotel Staff were very gracious and they tried to improve upon our stay when asked; there was always hot water (I love my showers); the bed was very comfy; the a/c kept us cool day and night; we had a nice view of the ocean/beach; room/bed cleaned daily; great towel service for beach; good price. The NEGATIVE: no hangers; no hair dryer; no fridge; little room furniture: some of it falling apart; several ceiling lights/switches not working, elevator in need of safety inspection and service, bed smelled of mold (needs a day in the sun to air out); balcony extremely unsafe with no railings nor barrier in some places..you could easily step off falling several floors; large warped LR sliding window doesn't close; daily construction noises from nearby resorts, except on Sundays (jack hammers every morning! lucky I brought my ear plugs); room marble floor could use a mopping for stains; bath sink too high: I had to stand on my tip-toes to use sink (I'm 5'7"); many repaired areas that weren't finished exposing drywall/screws/patches/bad paint jobs; friends upstairs said their bath door never opened properly; their bath flooded during each shower and parts of room with no lights... too dark. WOULD WE RETURN? My husband said no, but it would be difficult to find the few positives along with the good price elsewhere in the Romantic Area. Friends were also at other hotels looking around. This was our first time to Puerto Vallarta.

Good location, but disappointing hotel

Pros: I was not able to stay at the hotel. Overbooked.
Cons: Not overbook, had the rooms that you have paid for.
Location: The location is right on the beach, walking distance to most restaurants.
Well, If you want to be on the beach and you do not care about the rooms, this could be a place to stay. I doubled and triple check with travelocity and the hotel to make sure that they had my reservation. When I got there, they could not find my reservation, but about an hour waiting and working with the front desk and hotel manager, they said they might have found my reservation, but they were overbooked and did not have a room for me. I paid for 2 double beds with an oceanview, their highs rate. They said come back tomorrow and they would see if they could get me a room for a couple days(my stay was for 9 days). They also said that they do not guarantee rooms, you get what they have when you check in. I had to scrabble to find another hotel. Most were booked, New Years week. I did find a place to stay, but it cost me, last minute booking. When I went back the next day to tell them that I did not need a room for a couple of days, people were checking out, because there was not hot water for 2 days, no one told me that.
