The ceiling in the toilet leaks so we have to transfer. The oven doesn't work good, needs a wall to cover it against the wind. It took us 3 hours to cook. The freezer door broke. The bathroom ceiling creates a noise when you open/close door. Staff are all helpful, friendly and very courteous, just needs to know how to communicate well in english other than that, they are all nice staff.

The staff at El Emperador is great, committed to making our stay enjoyable. The entire facility is spotless and if there would be an issue they’re quick to make it right. The view of the beach is perfect and you can’t get any closer to the beach. We love coming here

The room was exactly what was pictured and booked, so that was perfect. There is really no extras (water, coffee) except shampoo and soap. Bathroom could use fan but everything worked, nice shower had hot water. The beach situation leaves a lot to be desired, the restaurant downstairs provides the lounges (have like 10) and they kick you off at 3:30 everyday. You can move to a restaurant table if your going to eat or drink but beware drinks are about double the price compared to other places. I'd stay again if it was just my husband and I in a pinch. Staff is great.

While my daughter was showering, someone entered her room through a window. When she opened the door she saw a man standing by the window with his hands underneath a black jacket. He had rummaged through her bag and had placed items on the bed. He was startled and ran out the room. We contacted the reception desk and they didn't even bother to come to the room. I had to go downstairs and question the receptionist, who was by himself. He would not allow us to look at the cameras until the next day when his manager would be in. We called the police and they came over, but they said since no one was in the room they couldn't do anything about it. My daughter didn't want to stay at this hotel, therefore, we had to scramble to find another place. I requested a refund the reception said they could not since we booked through expedia.

The hotel has reopened the jacuzzi on the roof which is a nice feature for cooling off in the afternoon. I wish they didn’t make you wear a wristband. We never eat or drink at Si Senior I think it is way overpriced.The staff at the Emperador are wonderful. Thank you for a great stay.

We could not get our assigned room as the key wouldn’t open the door and they couldn’t fix it, therefore they put us in the basement behind tree. It was called an upgrade by the hotel as it had 2 beds. We did t need 2 beds.

A rather old hotel which has not been modernized but still has the basics right. Perfect location next to the pier and lots of good restaurants. Very good staff and the sand is cleaned up every day. The air conditioning is loud but the neighborhood is quiet. The pool is barely large enough for 2 people and it was added for publicity. Its worthless. But all in all, its a solid choice.
