Lovely property, as you swim in the different pools which accommodate children in some areas and adults in the deeper pools with an ocean breeze because of the direct opening out to the sand and beach. There aren’t very many lounge chairs, but they are comfortable and there are water lounge chairs that are partially immersed in the pools. The water temperature is warm compared to another resort where we stayed for the first part of the week. The drinks were good. The hotel provided to water bottles a day which was appreciated. The only problem we encountered was the rocks and grout in the shower were gravely end a little painful on our heels and feet as we showered. We sat down a hand towel so that we had something to step on. They do not offer a washcloths, but I like to travel with my own.

Room was very traditional as we were in Mexico, we stayed in one of the cheapest room. Our room was quite, the elevator went down a few times during our stay. Server Ricardo was the best for afternoon and evening dining! Morning servers were not very attentive. Overall we had a great time, and I will go there again. We are planning our next trip to stay here at the end of this year.
Best Server! Ricardo gave us the best experience at Playa Los Arcos, made us feel we were special guests.

Stayed for 7 days. Room was cleaned every day. AC worked fine. I thought our rooms were spotless every time we came back in the evening. Old decor, but it’s fine as it has an authentic Mexican charm to it. Even though the hotel was right beside the NYE street party, I managed to get a good night’s sleep. Restaurant was okay, although the price is a little on the high end for what you get. I loved the happy hour drink special near the lobby— we went for them almost every day! Would I stay here again? Absolutely. If I’m not mistaken, Playa Los Arcos has the largest outdoor pool near the pier. I could not see another resort in the vicinity with a pool from the pier to Malecon. Their beach amenities and service was over the top. Thank you!!

We really enjoyed the resort. The location on the Malecon, the pool area, and the restaurant were great. We had an unrenovated room on the top floor. The top floor on that side had amazing terraces with 2 chaise loungers and a table and chairs. With the location of the sun it was incredible, and we spent all our time outside. Because of the extra big terrace, the room was tiny. 2 people couldn't walk past each other at the end of a bed. The bathroom and closet were tiny too, and all were outdated. BUT we decided that the terrace life and resort made up for it and would come back and take the same room. Loved all the restaurants in the area and the ocean walkway in front. Could use a coffee maker though and be aware the Snow Birds tend to stake out all the tables in the pool area by 8 AM.

The noise of hammering on the roof above our room for nearly a week, and after repeated efforts to have them move us they finally stopped the workers. Our room was tiny and the bathroom even smaller….my husband had to sit sideways on the toilet…..the room we chose online looked way bigger. The maid was great but only if we tipped her every day! We forgot for a couple of days and got no towels, or bath mat. Everyone was polite enough but we weren’t impressed with the restaurant. Coffee was weak and tasteless. Will not stay there again.
