We stayed here as a group of 15 and would not return. The most serious issue was a stone-top table collapsing onto a child during dinner at El Dorado. The table was missing a leg, and other tables were unstable as well. Instead of apologizing or addressing safety, the resort later demanded $1,000, accused a small child of causing the accident, and claimed to have video evidence they refused to show. We had video showing the table defect. Management ignored it. We were also told we had to pay $750 just to be seated together at dinner, which defeats the purpose of an all-inclusive resort for groups. We were split up for most meals despite availability. Our room did not match what we booked (one bed instead of two queens despite an upgrade), and shuttles were overcrowded and uncomfortable, especially with kids. The most disappointing part was management’s attitude—they openly stated they don’t care about negative reviews or repeat guests. There are far better all-inclusive options in Cancun. Choose another resort.

We spent nearly $12,000 CAD on this trip, and the overall experience was deeply disappointing for the price paid. The room was cramped and unsuitable for a family. Our male and female children, with a five-year age difference, were expected to share the most uncomfortable pull-out couch imaginable, which is not appropriate for a resort marketing itself as family-friendly and charging premium rates. Basic room maintenance was also lacking. The suite entry light was burnt out, making it difficult to see when entering the room, and the amount of dust was excessive. I personally have severe asthma, and the dust levels were a genuine health concern throughout our stay. Transportation around the resort was poorly managed and inconsistent. We regularly waited 20 minutes or more, while guests who arrived after us were taken first. An empty cart passed us and refused to take children, making access to restaurants and amenities frustrating. Although multiple buffets are advertised, there was no reliable way to get to them. Despite advertising an all-inclusive experience, service was clearly prioritized for guests who tipped. Bar and service staff were noticeably more attentive to those providing cash tips, which defeats the purpose of paying for an all-inclusive resort. We also experienced inconsistent enforcement of rules. Our son was denied service for not wearing a shirt, which we understood and immediately corrected. My girlfriend was attacked by a gentleman when she was trying to use the restroom. The staff did absolutely nothing, police were never called. They never followed up. Service was terrible throughout. Food was mediocre at best. Will never go back again.

Very much enjoyed our group trip at the Grand Palladium Kantenah this past November! Leilanie did a wonderful job as our concierge and was very helpful through WhatsApp communication during the day. A la Carte's were relatively straightforward to book as long as it was few days in advance for our group of 5. The steak house and Japanese were favorites for us. Lots of activities around the resort, just be prepared to find a lot of tiny mosquitos around the mini golf area. The evening entertainment was the best I've experienced at a Mexico resort. It was nice to see the shows that are not just catered for kids. This definitely made up for the lack of a disco, as the Colonial lobby remained a busy hub well into the evening every single night! Buffet food was okay but not a highlight. Would be nice if there was a bit of variation day to day but everything was on par with the general resort experience. Would definitively recommend and return in the future!

Grand Palladium Kantenah – nice staff and pools, but very poor organization and Family Selection service We stayed at Grand Palladium Kantenah Resort & Spa in the Family Selection section as two families traveling with children. While there were some positives, the overall experience was disappointing for the price paid. The staff were friendly and polite, and the Family Selection pool was calm and enjoyable, with some activities for younger children (2–5 years old). The bar and food service at the Family Selection pool was good, and this was one of the better parts of the stay. Unfortunately, restaurant reservations were a constant issue. We were repeatedly told that no à la carte reservations were available, yet when we eventually secured reservations after persistance, the restaurants were quiet with empty tables. On New Year’s Eve, we were told a table for 8 was impossible, but when we arrived for a smaller reservation, multiple tables around us remained empty. This suggested poor reservation management rather than high demand. Food quality was mixed. The Nest (Family Selection restaurant) was disappointing for both dinner and breakfast. The à la carte restaurants were average overall. At La Portofino, food arrived cold and service was slow, though we had drinks. Our children’s sofa bed was bare with no mattress, which was fixed eventually. It just felt like everything was a task which isn’t a vacation.

Review for stay during September of '25. This resort is huge with being 4 resorts (Kantenah, Colonial, White Sands & TRS-Adults only), on shared Palladium property. You can attend most if not all the resort pools, restaurants, entertainment etc. It was low season so resorts were not over-crowded. Actually, Kantenah Family Selection building/beach was fairly empty which we did not mind. Never an issue finding chairs at the beach or bali bed for rent. Colonial is the 'center hub' of all the resorts and seems to have the best entertainment, beach parties etc. Gametime sports bar was great, air-conditioned, TVs & full bar food menu and drinks to order from all included. It made for great catching a game on NFL opening weekend. Resort is also very family friendly. They have a schedule for activities for children, teens & adults. Never thought we would enjoy such a big resort but we truly did and wish we had more time. Rare occasion we opted not to leave the resort as every day/night there was something to do or see. There is a smaller waterpark on site also with slides for the kids and even an area for toddlers. We did encounter a couple issues during our stay however, management was prompt to resolve the issue and offer compensation. Our concierge butler passed the information on and the concierge manager came to the pool finding us offering sincere apologies and asked how they can make things right. Nothing is perfect but to me, that is customer service. We will return.
