(1) The hotel is fairly new, the room was comfortable overall. The bed was excellent. (2) The building's mechanical systems seemed to have issues despite being new. The room's front door was misaligned and difficult to close. The toilet was not properly bolted to the floor. When the thermostat was briefly set to "heat", it triggered the room's smoke detector which was located only about 18" from the air vent. Not a pleasant night-time surprise. (3) The hotel lobby is, oddly, not on the ground floor and the elevators could be slow. (4) Parking was a little bit of a challenge as the Albany-owned (?) parking lot's payment machines seemed to not work – repeatedly rejecting my credit card as “faulty” - forcing me to download the payment app and use that. (5) There are a range of places to eat and drink (craft beers being ubiquitous), one withing 100’ of the hotel door. Overall, I was happy with the experience, but I hope that the building issues are not representative of the Albany workforce’s construction skills.

The location is good for walking to pubs, dinning and historical places. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff exceptional. The issues were with the mechanical systems. The room's front door was misaligned and was hard to close. The toilet wasn't properly bolted to the floor. And it is a new building. A long-ish walk to the Empire Plaza, uphill... Not for everyone in the heat and sun. Consider driving if it isn't for you. If craft beer is your thing, there are a half-dozen venues within a thousand yards of the hotel, one barely 100' away... crawling distance. The USS Slater is docked 0.75 miles to the south. It is a great tour.

The Hyatt Albany Downtown is one of the newest hotels in the area. Not only is it crisp and clean but is located in a great area with great food and pubs nearby. Had a great stay, beds are comfortable, the AC worked great and the staff was amazing. Kudos to Nee Nee and Corey

The interior of the hotel was nice. The rooms were decent, but housekeeping on a daily was sparse. We had to get our own towels. Now the parking was crazy. Paying for parking at a hotel that does not have their own lot. Not to mention the hotel location was in the back of something. Definitely not a come back again moment for us.
