Excellent! What made this beautiful hotel even better is the staff. Attentive, friendly, and Real! The convenience of dining and entertainment options on site added to the flair and shine. The Rosevale Kitchen, Starchild rooftop bar, and jazz club ... I felt like even though I'm surrounded by an entire city, I didn't need to go anywhere else.

Not what was pictured or described at all. I was there for a business meeting and booked this hotel because of the public spaces. I had to wait over 10 minutes each time I used the elevator, because there were so many people and not enough stairs, and elevators. I felt very unsafe here. I was on the 25th floor and the sounds I heard through the walls were very loud. I couldn’t sleep at all. There were very loud banging noises throughout the night. I wasn’t here on a holiday, but most of the public spaces here were closed during my visit. I was very disappointed about this too, since this was one of the only reasons I booked this hotel. I won’t be back.

Excellent location in midtown. This is located in a quiet street off the main noise and activities in Midtown. This is a block from 9th avenue restaurants, some like the dumpling restaurant open at 2:00 am if you arrive late and a block or two from restaurants near Times Square. There is no fitness center on site but you get one free day pass and then $20/day for using a fitness center around the corner. The rooms are a tight fit but for the price, they're good for the location. The roof can be busy with parties and can get noisy if you have a room near the top. Other than that, this is a perfect home for exploring the City.

This hotel does a pretty good job with the New York-specific "tiny room" category. My room was a little austere for my taste, but it has been beautifully done, was spotlessly clean, had a fantastic shower. I must admit to being a little disappointed, though. When I was there, there were private events in both bars, so they were closed to hotel guests. My room didn't have any workspace (no table-level surfaces or chair) so having somewhere in the hotel where I could pit-stop with my laptop would have been nice. Also one of the three elevators was out of service giving rise to quite long waits and lots of stops in a pretty tall, thin building. These are niggles, really, and perhaps I am being a little harsh in part because, at this time of year, it was pretty expensive. It's a very nice hotel, fabulously located. Just not quite right for me.
