Great location! Staff were excellent - very welcoming and helpful. The room itself was a bit disappointing- smelt moldy and the bathroom needed an update - you could see the effects of moisture on the finish. Pool which was advertised as being open through September, but it was already closed.

The air conditioner fan clicked against its encasement and the technician could not solve the problem. The window blind did not raise, maybe on purpose because the window faced an airshaft. But I'd guess only a minority of hotel rooms face the airshaft. Of the six places for hooks on the wall for clothes, five were missing or broken. I could fiddle with one light to get it working, but even with that light the room was dark. The hallway was dark, too. Paint was missing in places on the room's woodwork. The TV did not allow you to sign into NetFlix or offer pay-for-view programs. The most positive thing about the hotel is its location across from Lincoln Center. The room was no smaller than most Manhattan hotel rooms. The front desk staff was fine, but obviously they couldn't solve the problem with the room. They did offer to move me. The lobby is attractive. If you know for sure that your particular room will be in better shape than mine, I'd try this hotel. But when I gave the front desk every chance to say that my room was an exception, they didn't make the claim.
