I love the architecture, art, and old New York feel of this hotel! It was extremely convenient to walk to many popular attractions in the area. Our room was clean and updated to the bathroom were nice. The restaurants on site were both delicious and the breakfast vouchers were a nice touch.

Very clean. Staff polite. Room was very small and bathroom was tiny. The restaurant (Friedmans) was not part of the hotel and was mobbed for breakfast. They would only seat us at the counter. Location was very convenient to theatre district, restaurants, etc

The hotel was awesome! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location cannot be beat for going to broadway shows and visiting Times Square. The room was spacious and clean and perfect for our stay. We will definitely be back the next time we visit New York.

We are extremely dissatisfied with the advertising, staffs willingness to help and be friendly and rooms. False advertising in regards to room as only the rooms at the front of the hotel are photographed and shown not giving the full picture of the hotel. You cannot advertise “iconic NYC views” and then face onto a roof and are next to an air condition vent. The manager we dealt with was not helpful and seemed like he could not be bothered to deal with us and just wanted us out of the way. We ended up being downgraded as this was the only option available and were told we did not have to pay the resort fees and taxes and were still charged and have received no compensation in regards to having been downgraded due to your false advertising of what the rooms looked like and being put in a room which was not suitable to stay in. This ruined myself and my wife’s anniversary and her birthday which is the reason we were there on vacation in the first place! You should be placed in the room you have payed for and which is advertised not just be put anywhere that is available. We were also told that the hotel does not have terraces that can be seen on their advertisement which if false as the new room we were placed in was above what we thought we were going to be placed in, in the first place! Both sides of the hotel rooms should be able to view and you should have the opportunity to select what you are actually paying for to save disappointment.

Room could use all new furniture and carpet. Room itself was fine (updated bathroom), but everything else is worn out and felt a bit dingy. Living room furniture and Couch in suite was very uncomfortable. Front desk and Housekeeping staff were great, helpful and accommodating. Were given a pile of Breakfast vouchers for the week, weren’t able to go to the restaurant once as they were packed everyday. Overall, it was a good location with great staff, but the rooms need a renovation badly.
