12' x 12' with a double bed in the middle? No!

Pros: The hotel location is very convenient and we enjoy that neighborhood.
Cons: The room we were in should have nothing larger than one single bed, which might then allow for some other amenities/furniture.
Location: It's just a few blocks away from Central Park and also the American Museum of Natural History, both wonderful sites.
It's a beautiful building - historic and quaint - but, unfortunately, the room assigned to us was absurd. The bed took up 90% of the room and it was tricky to navigate around the little refrigerator on the floor just to get to the bathroom. No closet, no place to hang clothing, no place to set a suitcase, unless it was on the floor, in which case one would have to teleport around the room. We did peek into another room across the hall, which seemed considerably more spacious. Maybe we did something bad in a prior life and this was payback.

Dirty Little Sheet

We opened the pull out mattress and found dirty, slept in sheets, underneath the springs were popping through the mattresses! The rooms are so small and claustrophobic

Graduation stay

Pros: Room was very nice and clean. Charming atmosphere. No restaurant but cafe style breakfast of croissants and coffee was nice. Quiet street.
Cons: Only noticed croissants at breakfast, which I love but nice to have fresh fruit and/or yogurt for purchase as well.
Location: Great location! Quiet street off busy Broadway where there are lots of restaurants and shopping. Short walk to subway or Museum Natural History.
Little disappointed that none of the front door staff helped me unload my luggage from my car. They all (3) focused on arriving cabs. Had to ask for valet service to take our car once I got inside hotel with luggage. After complaining to front desk, manager went out of his way to make sure remaining service was fantastic!! My husband is handicapped. They promptly brought a shower chair to our room and installed temporary grab bars in the shower. Room was clean and very pleasant and remarkably quiet despite being across from the elevators. Would definitely stay here again and recommend the hotel. Charming atmosphere. Small lobby and elevators but very charming and great location for our Columbia University graduation activities.

Fantastic!

Pros: The hotel has a beautiful combination of historical charm and modern comfort and convenience.
Location: We loved the convenience to the subway line as well as the location in the Upper West Side. Perfect!
My wife and I stayed at Hotel Belleclaire for a combined business trip and anniversary getaway. The staff went out of their way to get us a special room and everything we needed to have a great stay.

nice hotel in a quiet neighborhood

Pros: Clean and quiet
Cons: Continental breakfast
Location: Upper West side with a lot of good restaurants and shopping nearby
I like the fact that the hotel is located on the upper West side. Quiet but convenient to get to the subway. A lot of nice restaurants and shops nearby. A good location if you want to be in the city but away from all the crowds.

Not that great

Pros: Free Internet
Cons: Nothing close, Noisy
It was a very old hotel, in which it seems like they're trying to make the effort to renovate, unfortunately I didn't get a chance to experience that. The room wasn't ready at the time to check in, the staff was okay nothing special. The amenities were just as poor as the view that I paid an upgrade few to have. I honesty wouldn't stay there again or recommend it to any of my friends or family.

Very cozy hotel. Decorated with a ton of "character". The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful.

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet
Cons: Noisy
Very cozy hotel. Remodeled, and decorated with a ton of "character". Business center was open 24 hours. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. The only negative I can mention was the street noise during sleeping hours.

Noisy!

Pros: Free Internet
Cons: Noisy
My only complaint was noise! I had rooms 301&302 and both rooms had window ac units in the windows, but its winter now, and there were large gaps where the windows were open, and a lot of noise coming from there. Also both rooms had to deal with a clanking radiator all night.
