The Idea that you advertise your Property as a "Pet Friendly" Hotel but you only accept Dogs and not Cats seems quite absurd to me. That is why when I checked with a Reservations Customer Service Agent of the Hyatt Grand Central Hotel Chain if they would accept Cats, and I was told yes they would, I was quite Incensed when my wife and I had arrived at 7:30 p.m. to Grand Central Station after a 2 1/2 Hour Train Ride from Danbury, CT to Grand Central Station in New York with 4 luggages and 2 cats and we tried to check in for our scheduled 2 night stay. which we had already paid for, we were informed by the Front Desk Staff that they couldn't accept cats, that was when I hit the roof. The Front Desk Staff person, seeing that my wife and I were quite surprised by this change of policy, she went to summon the Night Manager on duty. The Night Manager on duty showed up like a Soldier and immediately had a Very Rude Disposition in her attitude when we started to question the Discriminatory Policy of only accepting Dogs but not Cats! The Night Manager was unable to explain the lopsided policy but was also very adamant that that was the policy and she was not going to make any exceptions or try to help us out. When we again questioned the logic of the lopsided policy of accepting Dogs but Not Cats the Night Manager became even More Rude and Stubborn in her responses. We mentioned that it was if they were to have a policy of accepting Adults but Not Children it would be equally absurd.
