I call the hotel couple weeks in advance to ask to place in a room eight floors or higher but got place on second. The rooms are small, no street view and they didn’t inform on their website that bar wasn’t available or restaurant. Total difference from website

Not What I Booked, AND No Coffee?!?!
I made a reservation for a double room, as there were 3 guests in our party. We went to our room to find a king sized bed and a sofa bed?? I went back to the desk and was informed that the hotel was overbooked, and our room could accommodate 3 people. We were not going to have our friend, who we took to NYC to celebrate her 68th birthday, sleep on a sofa bed, especially the one they had in our room! The mattress was flimsy and if the sofa bed was open, there would be no way to get around in the room. After some time, the manager came down and also tried to tell me that our room was suitable for 3 people, even though I had a copy of my reservation stating I would have two double beds. In the end he did give us an additional room, but this entire experience was so frustrating. Also, there is no (and I mean NONE) coffee available in the hotel. That was equally egregious.

The location is amazing. The rooms facing NY streets are noisy - no way around it. Windows could have better sound proof. Room was comfortable and clean.

The property was clean. The room was beautiful and the people who work there are extremely nice. Although the building is a bit old it is well maintained. It’s not too far to walk to Times Square about 10 mins walk.

The sweet lady that checked us in (I’m sorry I didn’t catch her name) was so fun, friendly, and welcoming. She took care of our needs and was the best hotel receptionist I’ve encountered in a very long time! Hotel was unique, comfortable, and clean. My only complaint was the small step into our room’s bathroom was a tripping hazard. My dad tripped on it and cut his arm open on the door jam.

The hotel room was impeccable, large and clean. The staff was very pleasant and helpful, from the moment we arrived until we checked out. The only negative for us was that the gym was totally uninspiring to workout in and only had a few cardio machines and a few barbells in a claustrophobic small space. Overall a very pleasant stay, and we would stay there again without hesitation.
