"Loved it here, very nice"
Wonderful place, very nice people” 5 of 5 stars Pending review This is a very nice place to stay if you want to experience the "real Jamaica" on a budget. The Guest House is located in a Jamaican neighborhood. We felt very safe the whole time we were there. The owner Steve was very nice and went out of his way for us. We did not rent a car, I advise not to drive in Jamaica. Jamaicans have their own way of driving, and it's pretty crazy. Also, there are not many street signs, so getting lost is easy. The hotel has drivers, McKenzie or Jerry drove us anywhere we wanted to go for a very reasonable rate. They are both very nice and fun to be with. The only thing I wish was different about our little apartment we stayed in is it's décor was kinda dull and needed updating. I wish it was painted bright Jamaican colors and had more Jamaican décor and pictures. That would of really helped with the true Jamaican experience. But, other than that we were very comfortable. There was a nice balcony outside, and I sat out there a lot and just people watched or took in the wonderful views. All in all, we would stay here again, we had a great time. If you want to go to Dunn River Falls, I recommend going right past Dunn River Falls (too commercial) and go to the "Blue Hole", we had blast there. Our Guide was nice and the place is just breathtaking. There are rope swings and beautiful water falls. The cost was much less than going to Dunn River. We took day trips to Negril and the beaches,

"This trip was a DREAM. Beach and pool and spa."
The staff here makes your visit a sublime experience. Friendly, accommodating, wonderful people, all of them. The pools are gorgeous and clean. The beach is divine and was mere yards from our room. Our room was spotless and roomy, even with 3 people in a junior suite. The bathroom alone is bigger than most NYC studio apartments. The food is expensive but very, very good. The spa transported us to another land filled with lemongrass scent and loving, nurturing hands working out the kinks in our shoulders. The gym is clean and all the equipment is brand new. Whatever we needed, we were only a phone call away from our requests. I can't speak about this trip highly enough.

" Beautiful hotel"
I stayed at the Royalton Blue Waters for 5 nights and it was absolutely beautiful! I was a bit hesitant because some of the previous reviews listed issues but we had none on our stay. The resort was beautiful and the food was great! The food was a little less seasoned then I am used to, but nothing a little salt and pepper couldn't fix.

"Secrets St James "
Very pretty resort. The food was good, not the best. Choices in the restaurants were few, but the buffets provided more choices. The beach is very small yet if you can find a lounge there is a nice view of sea and mountains. There was some entertainment, but no shows. The house band was phenomenal. There was noisy construction going on for 15 hours a day on the St James side adjacent to the upgraded preferred unit. It made it impossible to have the peace and quiet on the beach. We had to walk a half a mile over to Wild Orchard to have quiet at the beach or the pool and not feel like we were in midtown Manhattan. We were not told about this prior to our trip by either the hotel or Travelocity. If you go to St James and have this problem, complain. All in all, if you are looking for a party atmosphere, go somewhere else.

Most hotels in Montego Bay are just steps away from warm turquoise waters, while outdoor reggae festivals and dance-til-dawn entertainment at various clubs keep the party atmosphere lively. Numerous all-inclusive resorts in Montego Bay dot the breathtaking waterfront, many providing their own private beaches and world-class spas.

Out and About in Montego Bay

Plenty of options are available for stepping into Montego Bay's crystal clear water and enjoying the colorful sea life and sugar-white sands. Kiteboarding is offered to both newbies and accomplished surfers, while snorkeling and sunbathing are irresistible at Doctor's Cave Beach. Many cheap hotels in Montego Bay are located directly on Gloucester Street. Walk from your hotel to the Craft Market, then relax at an outside table with a tall drink and watch the world go by. If your cruise ship puts in at Ocho Rios, about 60 miles east of Montego Bay, you can stay at luxury hotels near Coconut Grove Shopping Village.

    Eating and Drinking

Montego Bay has plenty of places to dine outdoors where you can take in the ocean and indulge in fresh, delicious seafood.
