Great all inclusive hotel

I stayed at a Riu hotel before and had a great experience, this time was no different. The staff here was amazing and the food was good, my boyfriend and I really enjoyed the nightly entertainment.

A VERY AMAZING BIRTHDAY

MY BOYFRIEND AND I CAME FROM NY AND I HAD WENT FOR MY BIRTHDAY AND THIS HOTEL AND STAFF WAS SO AMAZING EVERYTHING IS CLEAN AND MODERN WHICH I LOVE.. THE STAFF WAS SUPER NICE AND HELPFUL THROUGH OUT THE HOTEL... THE DRINKS WERE DELICIOUS THE ONLY THING I WOULD RECOMMEND IS YES PEOPLE ARE COMING FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD BUT I WOULD HAVE LOVED IF THE HOTEL OFFERED MORE WEST INDIAN FOOD BECAUSE THIS IS JAMAICA THE ONLY THING I SEEN WAS JERK CHICKEN IN THE AFTERNOON WHICH WAS SO GOOD AND SALTFISH AND DUMPLING FOR BREAKFAST WHICH WAS GOOD AS WELL I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND BUILDING A WEST INDIAN RESTAURANT ON THE RESORT IT WOULD DEFINITELY BE ALWAYS BE BOOKED BUT OVERALL THIS WOULD BE MY FAVORITE RESORT TO STAY AT IN JAMAICA

Bad customer support between hotel and Travelocity

Trying to communicate between Travelocity and the hotel was a total nightmare. My issues never got resolved to my satisfaction.

Excellent Resort

Pros: everything!!!
The resort is beautiful (right on the beach), the staff was friendly, and the service was impeccable. I would highly recommend it. Really had a good time there.

The staff makes this hotel great

Pros: Food was top notch, they even had lobster tails at the buffet on Wednesday.
Everything from beginning to end was first class. When we arrived we were taken care of immediately, there was never a line at the front desk. The activity staff headed by JoJo reached out to us immediately showed us around, told us about the activities that were taking place during the week ie: karaoke, disco night, reggae night, pool aerobics and games. When you leave you feel like you have made friends for life.

Private Adults Only

Pros: Adults only but the family hotel is just next door. Security is strict letting people on the property. Away from the city but not far from airport.
Cons: The rooms just need minor upkeep.
Location: I advise finding a tour company, go during the week. I had a private driver for $180 one day and another for $65 with only two others.
This a European based franchise so the rooms are spacious. I had a garden view 2nd floor (called first floor) room with a garden view. This means you have a view of the side of the property and my side was facing a construction site next door (moving earth only) and the ocean. The men were moving dirt all day but I was never disturbed by the noise when I was in the room. The balcony is a nice size and there is a partition wall so you don't see your neighbors. There is a jet tub that was wonderful but it sits in between the sink and the bed so there is no privacy. the shower and bathroom both have doors. The shower is spacious and tiled and the water pressure is wonderful. The staff was amazing. They were always pleasant at the desk, the bar, and the restaurant. Everyone was sincere and positive. I loved the bartenders also because they entertained me on this solo trip. The rooms have cable with English (American), Spanish, and I think German programs to include world news. Tipping is not required but the right thing to do. I spent 3 nights at the hotel and I'm ready to go back. People who go to Jamaica have to be prepared to see a lot of poor living conditions but Jamaicans will most definitely make you welcomed. Hopefully people don't come to just get a tan and seclude themselves in a resort but come to learn and interact with the community. They will educate you.

Bringing in a New Decade!!!! 60 and Excited!!!!

Pros: The best thing about this hotel other than how beautiful it is and the location was the Staff!!!! They made sure that whatever you needed it happen!!!
Cons: Absolutely nothing!!! The pools, the service and the food is Outstanding!!!
Location: We are not big on the exploration thing but we did go visit the local areas to see how the people live there on a daily basis.
On May 18th 2015 I turned 60 years old!!!! I spent my birthday celebrating in Paradise!!! My journey began leaving from LAX and I was traveling with my BFF/Cousin and her Sister/Cousin who I love and adore. We arrived in Montego Bay Jamaica at 3:15 in the afternoon and the weather was Beautiful. It was a short trip from the airport to the resort and we were greeted with friendly smiles and care. The staff checked us in right away and there were no glitches to take care of to begin the celebration. The staff made sure that in every restaurant and area of the hotel someone or a group wished me a Happy Birthday with gifts and desserts the entire trip! It was a trip of a lifetime in Paradise!!! I will definitely be returning to this Adult resort!!!

Pros: The food was wonderful, and having access to the sister hotel and their ammenties gave us more things to do and see.
Cons: Better beds!!
Location: Loved being close to the airport, but the trade-off was the noise from the planes coming and going. I easliy ingnored them, may be a problem for some.
Everything went beautifully and as expected for a Jamacia Vacation. Everyone was super friendly/ attentetive
