"2 night stay for business"
Don't judge the inside by the outside. There are restaurants that have closed by the hotel and don't keep their weeds down, but that is not a reflection on Best Western. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast bar is well stocked and kept clean during breakfast time. My bed was so comfortable. I would return to stay here. The motel is right off of the interstate and Bob Evans is within walking distance.

"Sufficient hotel for our needs"
Having read other reviews, I was prepared for some of the quirks. The quirks are mentioned below. Both the person who checked us in and the person who checked us out commented on the great rate we acquired the rooms. Thanks Travelocity! It was about 21% off normal price. The elevator needs improvement. This was one thing that I was forewarned about from other reviews. We used it twice. On the second time, the door didn't open until I pushed the button again. From then on, we used the wide, steps. I was unimpressed with the chocolate milk in the breakfast selection. (It tasted sour.) The biscuits and gravy were excellent. Plain or strawberry flavored waffles are available. Sausage and eggs were great. Juice and milk were available. Yogurt is probably available at any time of day. (It was for me.) We stayed one night and the room was ready when we arrived. Their keycards were having issues. Decent sit down restaurants seem to be 15 - 25 minutes away, except for an Applebees. The other places around within a few minutes seem to be Chinese or fast food.

"Nice Hotel, good location"
Had a very nice stay after staying at some lower-end motels. Clean room, nice place, friendly staff. No issues with room, hotel or breakfast, though we did just skim the breakfast since there was a Waffle House in the parking lot. Just stayed there last Saturday night, two beds, no noticeable noise from outside even facing I70. My wife and son had stayed here before, so we knew what to expect.

"Beautiful hotel and wonderful staff!!"
Our stay was wonderful!! The staff went out of their way to help us from the moment we arrived. We chose to self park, which is right across the street and very convenient. We were able to walk to many of the places we wanted to visit downtown-many within 2 miles, but there is so much to see and do on your way!! When did need to set up transportation staff helped us with that as well. They are top-notch. The rooms are beautiful and very clean. We had a few small problems in our room, and they were taken care of immediately!! We could not have asked for more out of our three night stay.

    Indianapolis Icons

Another Indianapolis moniker is "Racing Capital of the World," and you can pay homage to the city's motor sports heritage at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway with some cheap Indianapolis lodging. If you're a racing fan and fortunate enough to score tickets to the Indy 500, be sure to search for places to stay in Indianapolis well in advance of your trip. The deafening roar of dozens of powerful engines, the noxious smells of fuel and searing tires, and a packed crowd of excited sports fans all combine to make this the "greatest spectacle in racing." Visit the speedway at any time of year and you can admire the aerodynamic beauty of historic and contemporary NASCAR, Formula One and IndyCar Series cars at the on-site Hall of Fame Museum. Indianapolis also boasts the largest children's museum in the world. If you're traveling sans-kids, you'll still stand in awe of the sight of life-size dinosaurs seemingly smashing through the museum's outside walls, on the verge of running rampant through downtown. Another unmissable landmark is the circa-1888 Indiana Statehouse, an elegant, neoclassical monument topped with a verdigris dome. A highlight of a tour is the Great Hoosiers in Sculpture collection, though the spectacle of politics in action from one of the public galleries overlooking the chambers stirs your curiosity, for this may be history in the making.

    Cultural and Historic Attractions

Staying at one of the downtown Indianapolis hotels puts you close to White River State Park, a sprawling green space that also plays host to many of the city's most enticing cultural attractions. Among them are the Indiana State Museum, where incredible items on display range from a massive mastodon skeleton to a 17-foot-tall steam-powered clock; and the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art, where you can admire masterpieces by such renowned artists as Georgia O’Keeffe and Andy Warhol. Also be sure to check the schedule for outdoor concerts on the Governor's Lawn in the park. Continue a day of art appreciation at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, one of the oldest and largest in the country, or combine the experience with a walk through the city along the Indianapolis Cultural Trail. The 8-mile route through six cultural districts is lined with public art designed to pique your senses, from the neon gleam of a huge glow-in-the-dark Abraham Lincoln head to the curiosity of an aroma-filled alleyway created by a scent machine inside a hidden vault. Wondering where to go next when you're staying at the crossroads? How about the Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site, the home of the 23rd U.S. President and an encapsulation of American history.

In general, though, Indy's typical restaurants, cafes, and bars are characteristically casual and unpretentious. Downtown, you'll discover an abundance of craft breweries, many of which offer food as well as brews. Such establishments include a converted church, a British-style pub, and a brew house sharing space with a bookstore. Find a seat on a sunny patio or beside a fire pit on a cool evening, order a pint or two with a wood-fired pizza or oozy cheeseburger, and let the casual, convivial atmosphere put all thoughts of planning your next move out of mind.

Drive south to Louisville, Kentucky, where you can buy yourself a genuine Louisville Slugger baseball bat and a bottle or two of hand-crafted bourbon. When the views outside your window change to lush green horse pastures, and the radio tunes itself to the twang of a country music station, you'll be in no doubt you've entered the Bluegrass State. Or, head instead to Cincinnati, Ohio.
