I've stayed here before and it was great, which is why I decided to stay here again but the room I go sucked. Room 417 was small, didn't have a place to hang clothes, and the windows had a bunch of trash outside them.

Thank you for your feedback. We regret to hear that your room was less than you expected. We hope you'll come back to see us again and when you do, mention your room preference and we will make a grand attempt to fufill your requests. The mirror in the room doubles as a closet, simply tug! I will address the trash with our team. Thank you again

Lighting of the monument

Pros: Clean room Location
Cons: Reservation system Credit card processing Snack area-stood behind a clerk for over 5 minutes while they filled a cooler-never asked if we needed help.
Location: Monument circle was steps outside the door
Our stay began at check-in. We used a travel service (Travelocity) and our reservation was not entered into the system. THANKFULLY, a room was still available. I have never had that happen before. We went to our room (which was okay but nothing too special) and then to dinner. I received a call at dinner saying our credit card had been declined. We do not carry a balance on our credit card so we assumed it was a travel issue. We contacted Discover and they insisted there wasn't a problem on their end. We used our credit card in several other locations without issue. Meanwhile, we had to provide a different card due to this issue. I wasn't impressed. They were also unable to located my Honors account - that I gave up on. I now have a copy of my number in my phone. Like many hotels, they limit the temperature that you are allowed to take your room too. I prefer it very cold and that wasn't at all possible. I would say that the temperature didn't go below 72 degrees which is WAY too warm for me to sleep. The room was clean and reasonably modern. Average size. Not fancy (which was fine). We were there for the monument lighting so it was very busy. One door was completely blocked off by the crowd and after the lighting, the lobby was filled with several families that didn't appear to be staying at the hotel. Lots of crazy kids; however, the "guard" was making sure that no one was entering the restrooms or elevators without a card.

Dear Chrystal, Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your recent stay with us. We are listening and taking everything you said in account to see how we can eliminate these type of issues. I apologize your experience was not the best we have to offer. Unfortunately, we were having some issues with Discover cards that was beyond our control and took us completely by surprise. Thankfully those have been worked out. We hope you will give us the opportunity to make this up to you. You as with all our guest are valued members of our family. We hope you come to visit us soon and experience us at our best. If you have any further concerns please feel free to contact me directly. Best regards, Sherrel Russell Guest Experience Manager

bad pool expierience

The whole reason go r this stay was to take my granddaughter and her two cousins downtown so they could go swimming and maybe a carriage ride. When we checked in, all was fine. The girls immediately put on their swimsuits and we went to the pool. They jumped in and said it was really cold. They sat in the hot tub a bit and said the pool was too cold. We went to eat and stopped by the front desk to tell them about the pool. Before I could say anything they said the pool was broke. They offered us to go to the Hilton 4 blocks away in the rain. Very inconvenient. I know they had no control but didn't offer any compensation. Nothing! And this was the whole point of the stay. On top of everything it was raining pretty good so we couldn't really go do anything. The front desk was good but the broken pool ruined our stay.

I do apologize about the pool issue. There are times that a mechanical issue occurs which is out of our control. We know its an inconvenience, but we did the best we could by having a sister property allow our guest to use there pool. This is corrected now, but my apologies we could not get this fixed during your stay. Sincerely, Richard Letko-GM

Decent hotel downtown

Cons: No free Internet, no free parking
The Hilton downtown was average for the price you pay. The room was pretty small and you have to pay to valet your vehicle. Other than that, it was about what you'd imagine. The bed was really comfy.
