Liked the history and public areas (even though they could have been cleaner). The first room was filthy and completely run down. Second room, bathroom door handle was broken. Card readers for the doors seemed like they were starting to go out.

The only good thing we found was that it was close to our concert venue. It was filthy dirty. It’s definitely not equipped for large crowds. Oh and what they don’t tell you is that “their” parking garage is not even associated with the hotel. They charged us for event parking for 12 hours and then another charge for the rest of time being there which was less than 24 hours. You have to walk through a small area that homeless people sleep/urinate in and through busted glass doors in a dimly lit area. The heat was on when we finally got to the room- it was 90 degrees that day. There were pills on the floor next to the bed. The toilet barely flushed. The sink had someone’s hair in it. The lamp next to the bed didn’t work. The bed was like laying in a board. Valet parking was so full and signs on the sidewalk it was hard to get to the front door. No room in between cars (valet parked) to carry a suitcase through without bumping one of them. With what you have to pay to stay here- room/parking it’s definitely not worth it. Next time I’ll stay some place a little further away that I know is a great hotel from staying there before.

I LOVED this hotel - very unique and unusual atmosphere - great food in the restaurant - nearby downtown and could walk to other places

We live this hotel. The history of this property is unique. The train car hotel rooms are one of a kind!
