"Close to the beach"
Enjoyed the location and the staff were very friendly and responsive. Was disappointed that my friend and I had to share a bed as our reservations stated 2 double beds. Some of the entertainment was excellent, others were okay. Liked the all inclusive aspect of our stay and the variety of options for food choices and restaurant venues.

"Charming hotel, excellent staff!"
The staff had prepared decorative swans, rose petal hearts, and a sweet note in our room for our honeymoon stay. The hotel was very clean and welcoming and the staff was professional.

"Awesome service!"
What a great experince we had at this hotel!! From the entrance, where you get welcomed with champagne and chocolates, until check-out. Staff is extremely friendly they truly make you feel spoiled in every way. Food is FANTASTIC!! I cannot say enough about it. every meal is a pleasure. Lunch and dinner is not buffette (oh thank God!). For dinner you have to be nicely dressed (no shorts, jeans, flip flops, t-shirts. Only pants and close shoes for man). I wasnt happy with the news but so worth it! Amazing restaurants!!! You dont even feel it is an all inclusive hotel! When we arrived we learned about the dress policy for the restaurants at night. My husband had nothing close to nice, so we said to the concierge (William, awesome person by the way) the lack of nice clothing, he said "dont worry, we'll provide you a set of pants for you to wear"!!!!! Where they do that?? I was truly impressed (and thankful) The entire staff made me feel like heaven! It's been a loooong time since I feel truly spoiled in a hotel. Good job guys!

"Very nice hotel and very friendly staffs"
This is our 5th time at this hotel. I love that hotel and all of it starting with the "Go" Team, they are all awesome. Thanks Milagros and Luceros and of course "sexy" Marco without forgetting Lucia, Barbara, Victor and the big boss Marina. Everybody is trying to keep this hotel in shape, gardeners cutting the grass, bushes, palm trees, etc. and they are doing a very good job. For the first time we left a tip everyday for the cleaning people. All the restaurant were very good. I was just a little disappointed with the French restaurant (but only one time). On our 13 days there I might went 7 times at the French so I thing they can do a mistake one time. After that the Italian was my 2nd favorite and the Indonesian was my 3rd with the Hibachi. The Mexican was my least. One morning I went to take picture at 6:15am of the sunrise and was lucky to also have a chance to let go some turtles that morning. Do you know than for 900 turtles released only 1 or 2 will survive.

"Good value - but not 5 star"
We found this to be a good hotel - but not great. What kept it from great? 1) Food... the food was good... but it was not great. In a few cases (the steak house) it was actually bad. 2) facility: We put a tray outside our door (room service) and it took more than 24 hours for it to get picked up. I asked the cleaning staff (more than once) to please pick it up (and clean the floor where the raccoon made a mess and it did not get done during the remaining 4 days of our stay. 3) Beach - not the resorts fault - but the bottom was sharp and rough and you really cannot wade around on the beach much without aqua shoes. No real sealife to see snorkeling. All in all it was a great value for the money, but not a 5 star experience.

"Traveling with the kids"
We stayed here last week, for 8 nights. We have stayed in several all-inclusives, including the Grand Velas in Puerto Vallarta. There were four of us, including two kids 8 and 10 years old. First the good: - Best pool I have ever seen. Huge, and perfect for the kids to play in, which they did for 6 hours every day. Beautiful infinite pools, and nice swim up bar, right up to the ocean. The only pool that compares to this is the Grand Velas in Puerto Vallarta. No slides or anything, but the kids still loved it. We never had a hard time getting a chair, but more on that later. -Best food you will ever have at an all-inclusive. 5 star food all of the way, many courses, and you feel like you are eating at the fanciest restaurant in your town, every night. Kids menus at the restaurants that allow kids. I thought is was nice to have some restaurants that do not allow kids, nice to be just my husband and me, and send them to the kids club. -rooms are a good size, with a big patio, that we hung out at a lot. We had a great ocean view that was perfect. Good mini bar that they restock every day, and they will put in things you like, if asked. - great service everywhere, loved Julio at the swim up bar. Always remembered the kids, and made them ask for things in spanish, which was a great way for them to learn. -we were upgraded to the ambassador section, because they were doing some work at the Zen, so glad we were. Nice to be near everything. We did see the Zen section, still very nice, but you would get the jungle feel, and no ocean views at all. Bigger kids club though, which might be nice, if it were busier. Things that were just ok: -No one was there the first week of June. Don't know why. The prices are high, but worth it, and the place was only at 15% capacity, so nice to always get your chairs and reservations, but would have been better to have bit more going on. - there were a few other kids there, but my kids connected with none, like they have at other resorts, so boring for them on that regard. The kids club did none of their scheduled activities, so it was just a place for them to hang out and play xbox, while we went to dinner -Nothing going on at night at all, no music, no bar happenings, nothing. I don't want a raging party, but it would have been nice to have something. I know the place wasn't full, but I wish there was something to do after 9:00. -The rooms are nice, but loud, you can hear everything going on in the bathroom, which isn't always good. The beds are comfortable, but I prefer the rooms at the Grand Velas in Puerto Vallarta. There are two bathrooms in the rooms, and the bedroom area is shut off with a door, so really nice. I was hoping for that here. -the beach itself is nice, with fine white sand, but no place to actually play in the ocean. You can walk 10 minutes either side to do that, but nicer, if it were just in front. Such a great pool, so that helped. Over all really great, we had a nice time, and will probably be back. I think if we were there at a different time of year, I would have all raves.
