We were pleased with everything except the pillows were uncomfortable. We also needed a cot and were told they didn't have any. The breakfast was very good and the room was very clean.

"Older hotel in good location near The Apple Barn."
It is a older hotel things are not going to be perfect. When we were trying to check in, Wendy was wonderful, she had to put up with alot of crap from several of the others in front of us. Our room was clean. The beds are hard and the pillows are flat, but that's part of the experience. Air and fridge were on when we got into room and that's a plus for us. Air in hallway was out on 2nd floor so it was nice to open the door to a cool room. The Wi-Fi is free but a little iffy at times. Connected with my nook to check on things we wanted to do, had internet then connected but no internet that was a little disappointing. Overall we enjoyed our 2 night stay. The pool was not ready when we checked in, but was filled and people using it within 24 hours. Parking on the lobby level is tight and could be better, there is undergound parking but the ramp going down is steep. We saw cars/mini-vans try it and drag the bottom that's not a good thing, should have a alternate way to pull into the garage.

"Beautiful Hotel, Very Clean Rooms & Exotic Feel"
I was very impressed with the Margaretville Island Hotel. The whole feel was relaxing and exciting at the same time. I stayed for 2 days and wished I had more time. The area is beautiful and peaceful. The Hotel itself is one of the best I've ever stayed in and I stayed in Hotels from all over the world including a suite at the Venetian in Vegas. The politeness of the staff makes you feel welcome right off the bat. The Rooms are super clean, the shower AMAZING, the beds and pillows are so fluffy and soft I couldn't wait to sleep. The walls and floor give you that island Caribbean feel, Jimmy Buffet hit a home run! The Spa is icing on the cake. The surrounding Island Village is a blast and we didn't even make it to the Pigeon Forge Strip, we stayed & shopped on the island. The coffee was magical. The stores are very unique and will keep you interested. The food places- OMG Jimmy Buffets Margaretville Restaurant is just fabulous-I recommend the Buffalo Wings with Blue Cheese, Volcano Nachos & of course a Margarita! For Breakfast Paula Deans Restaurant is wonderful, and all you can eat experience. The Tennessee cooking and ambiance comes out in full force, the bacon, the potatoes & the grits, whew! Find the authentic German Bratwurst stand, OMG, Yes it may be a bit pricey per night but it is worth it for anybody looking to escape and lose yourself for a relaxing getaway. It does truly regenerate the soul and leaves you feeling like you don't ever want to leave. I will be back!
