"Not bad at all, but just a couple of things..."
Staff is outstanding. Front desk, breakfast lady and the cleaning staff do their jobs very well and with a friendly demeanor. With that said, the a/c in our unit was very loud and klunky, there is only one elevator and it is slow and smelled of fish and the breakfast was very limited. You can have cerral, muffins, mini donuts and waffles, but no fruit, no choice in donuts, and no cream cheese or low carb food option. It is a good place if you get a great price, but shop around.

"Convenient location in Pigeon Forge"
This was our first stay at the Country Cascades. Overall, my wife and I were glad we booked there and agreed we could return. Excellent location, central to so much, short walk over to the "Island", plenty of parking. Breakfasts were fine, offering eggs, sausage, canned fruit, decent biscuits with gravy, toast, waffles, and the usual cereal/donuts. We only ate there one morning due to all the coughing and sneezing--several adult patrons were less infection-conscious than our 8 year old grandaughter, but that's not the fault of hotel mgt. Our only complaint, and the reason we did not score an overall 5 was the room AC/Heat was annoying. We like having option of running the fan at night to drown out external noises from other patrons and the unit had an annoying habit of cutting on/off repeatedly at night. Staff seemed attentive and very pleasant when we had minor issues or needed the room cleaned later in the day. Was nicely decorated at Christmas, cookies and coffee/apple cider available, indoor pool and exercise room.

"Our hotel was close to things we wanted to do."
The front desk personnel was very helpful and friendly, both checking in and out. Our room was clean. We checked out and did not eat breakfast here. My only concern was the parking in back for the 2nd floor. It was very limited.

"Modern elegance."
This hotel is one of the best. The rooms have a cool fireplace in the wall, huge shower with rain shower heads, comfy beds, beautiful decor, blender, k-cups for coffee and tea and a mini kitchen! Absolutely amazing, clean and spacious. We had the village view room and loved it because the balcony overlooked the specialty shops of the Island which were decorated with white lights. It was like vacationing in Italy! Clean modern, with great service and staff. I highly recommend this hotel! Can't wait to go back, what a treat.

Another favorite destination for travelers is Parrot Mountain and Gardens, which actually houses live birds like parrots, magpies, and toucans and can make you feel like you've walked away from a tropical paradise. On a more somber note, history enthusiasts young and old would have a lot of fun at the Titanic Museum, which offers some uniquely interactive displays. While you're in the area, don't forget to take pictures: Get a great family portrait sepia-style at Wild Gals Old Time Photo.

A great option for the whole family is to actually take to the skies with the Wonders of Flight. Get breathtaking views while flying through the sky in a huge helium balloon. If you want to fly when the weather is poor, also note that you could fly indoors at Flyaway Indoor Skydiving.
