People and service nice. Cost of breakfast offered not worth it, should be free. Too much construction a lot of noices and debris. Should of had accomiations away from construction we had work going on in the room next door and it was noisy all day long.

The Sono Hotel on International Drive (it’s more of a motel) is a good value for short stays. I’d recommend it if you’re in town for a night or two. After four nights, though, its limitations became clear. Staff was friendly and helpful. We had to switch rooms on arrival due to issues with the AC, TV, and door. The second room also had AC trouble. Staff offered to move us again, but I asked if it could be repaired instead. They fixed it, and we stayed the full four nights. Still, I expect more attention to detail when I prepay for a multi-night stay. Either we were unlucky, or many rooms have similar small issues. It's inconvenient to move all your things more than once. Also worth noting: this is one of those hotels that hits you with an extra “resort fee” at check-in—$10 per night—even if you prepaid. It wasn’t listed on their site or on Travelocity. I come to Orlando often, and this kind of surprise charge feels shady and inconsiderate, especially for families on a tight budget. I’ve filed a pricing dispute with Travelocity. Overall, I wouldn’t return for a long stay, but I’d consider it again for a last-minute overnight after an event.

Awful property. The lobby was overflowing with people waiting to check in at 4:00. The employees were oblivious and rude. We finally got our room and it was an adjoining room with the part that is under construction. There was literally a construction dumpster in front of our door. The room was dirty, at least half the lightbulbs were burned out. I went back to the lobby to change rooms and there were even more people to include families sleeping on the couches and floor. Absolutely awful property. There is a note taped to the door noting some construction and to excuse the inconvenience. It was dated May 2024. We stayed in June 2025.

The hotel location is very close to some attractions. The stuff was very helpful during my stay. Breakfast fast is overpriced but free coffee and tea station was available near the front desk.

Check in was really simple. The front desk was nice. They were also selling Zephyrhills bottled water which I prefer above all other water. The room was nice and spacious It was just a king bed but you could have fit a second bed in there. Everything was up to date and really nice in the room except for the TV. That would be the only thing that I would say they needed to update. The bathroom was nice the shower was nice. It was weird that they didn't have bars of soap and they just gave us body wash. So I had to wash my hands with body wash versus just a bar of soap. I wish that the blackout curtains had the little plastic piece on the side next to the door because it kept billowing out the door whenever you would open or close it in the air was on. The other issue I had was nobody like to answer the phone whether you called from your hotel room or your cell phone. I ended up having to go down there twice because nobody bothered to answer the phone even though I had seen multiple people at the front desk whenever I was in there and not a lot of patrons. They do offer breakfast but it's for a fee and it's not gluten free friendly for people who have dietary restrictions. I wish more hotels offered better dietary options for people with food issues. Everything else was fine, and I would stay here again for the price that I paid versus other hotels in the area.
