My recent stay at this hotel was unfortunately one of the most stressful travel experiences I’ve ever had. The first room we were given had a strong moldy odor as soon as we walked in, the toilet overflowed after a simple flush with the lid already off, and there were ants all over the countertop. We immediately requested to be moved.
The second room wasn’t any better—same moldy smell, the central AC didn’t work, and the connecting door to the adjoining room was broken. The wall AC unit was completely iced over and also didn’t function. We were told we would be moved again, but after a long wait, we were instead given a “renovated” room that was clearly done very poorly.
On top of the room issues, none of the room phones worked. We tried calling the front desk from our cell phones, and that’s when we found out they turn off their phones when the lobby is busy. We arrived around 10:20 PM to check in and didn’t receive our final room until about an hour and a half later. During that time, several other guests were also at the desk complaining about similar problems.
We booked through Travelocity, and they were no help at all. They told us no one at the hotel would answer their calls, so they would email the property and get back to us in 24–72 hours—which was well after our weekend trip would be over. We finally received a response after we had already checked out, stating that our request to cancel due to the conditions was declined. Would not recommend property/Travelocity
